July 2025 Pros: nice pool, volleyball & basketball court, and beautiful landscape. Cons: water was off campground wide during the afternoon for two days in a row. This prevented us from getting any water in the camper. It also forced the pool to be shutdown and the bathrooms/showers to be locked, and therefore inaccessible for hours.

Here is a polished and clean version of your review: Peaceful and Very Clean for an Overnight Stay We stayed here for just one night while driving through, and I found the campground to be excellent. Based on our experience in October, it was very clean and wonderfully peaceful. The overall vibe felt both safe and relaxing, whether you're traveling alone or with a family. The campground is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by equestrian farms. I really appreciated the wide spaces between each site and the many mature trees that provide shade and privacy. Many of the sites also feature a concrete pad, which is a nice bonus. We only needed an electric hookup for our short stay, and everything was working perfectly. If you choose a grass site the cost is $30 per night vs $40 for the concrete pad site. As a fairly picky and clean traveler, I found the facilities to be in great condition. Yes, the bathroom and shower building may be a little dated, but they were exceptionally clean, which is what matters most. For families, the amenities look good; they have a nice playground, tennis court, volleyball court, and basketball court. I would absolutely choose to stay here again in the future.

We had a fantastic experience at the KY Horse Park Campground. The property is stunning! Lots of trees…terrific walking paths…a nice gift shop…playground and tennis courts…guard and guard house. You couldn’t ask for more. We wish we could come back often. It’s truly wonderful.

We really enjoy this camp ground. The facilities are clean. Has a pool, playgrounds, tennis /pickleball courts, basketball courts, lots of dumpster and big sites. Our site this time had a sunken fireplace but it was to hot to use it. Guys outside are really helpful and nice. We needed to check in an hour early so we could help more our granddaughter into her dorm at UK. We knew our site was available as no one was booked in it the 2 previous days. We explained this to the guys and they said no worries our site was ready for us so he told us to go check in. We told him we tried and the office kid said no we could not check in yet. But, this guy said go back again because when we come back after move in the office would be closed. We went back in the office and the you girl told us no, I told her the guy outside said we could and explained our situation. At this point she became rude. We were disappointment in her reaction especially since they were not busy and she was just standing there when we walked in.

Here with the family for the annual Breyer Fest and it was great! This location is massive but they do have shuttle buses in many places where you may want to go. The setup was nice and easy, plenty to see and do. The park facilities were very nice and well maintained. Cleaned frequently. Overall experience was top notch. The park is well maintained and cared for and perfect for any event.

There's everything you want to know about thoroughbreds here. Take a walk thru the areas, and you can watch world-class horses complete at no charge.

Beautiful area. Employees are friendly and will try to answer any questions. The events were interesting. 3 champion racers came out of stalls and walked around a very small arena, while they played a few clips of their races and a brief history at the Hall of Champions. All horses, if willing, can be petted. Many different breeds, which most are friendly. A formative museum of the history of the horse. We came during the week and it wasn't crowded. All the events on the schedule were interesting and easy to get to on time.

All of the glowing reviews for this park has to be from people of are horse fanatics. The campground is a hot mess. Yes the staff is friendly and the playgrounds are nice but that is where it ends. The sites them selves are mud pits. Then the pads are cracked and uneven. If you have a larger rig then you are gonna add to the mud pit because you will have to park in the grass next to your rig. Then there are the review lies. There are NO sewer hookups. Yes the website says this but reviewers on here say that they have full hookups. This makes people think that maybe the website hasn’t been updated. Speaking of sewer issues, the campground only has two dump stations to accommodate 200+ camping sites. So guess what happens on check out days after a long weekend. Grid lock and rigs meeting each other going the wrong way into oncoming traffic trying to leave and/or get to the dump station. You are at the World Equestrian Games site KY Horse Park Campground. Do better!!!

Great campground, LARGE lots with asphalt pads. The pads are 6" tall so some rv's will have a rather tall first step (im going to buy a portable step like my brothers) that's the only negative thing I can say about this place. Lots of shade trees, benchs and fire rings. Nice campground store with clean ADA bathhouses. Basketball courts, pool and a Hugh playground. No sewer hookups so a line at the dump station on Sunday mornings. I am camping with a large group of family and friends so we had 5 travel trailers along the paved road, quite nice. Highly recommend !

I give this a 4 Star ONLY because they need sewer hook ups. They do have a local septic business that can come pump you at your site and you don't have to move which is nice. The staff is always helpful with things you may need and the October activities they plan are the absolute BEST! We stayed here this fall and I wanted to show you the beautiful "Trees of the Horse Park Campground!" The weather has been absolutely fantastic! Thank you Horse Park Staff for a great stay!!
