5 stars all around! We are making it an annual trip to come stay here. Chris and Marcey put so much love into this campground and it shows. They are always in the know of local activities and things to do around the area. The bathrooms and showers are so nice and clean. We stay in the tent sites which are very spacious, it doesn’t feel like you are stacked on top of your neighbors. There is a little store with just about everything you could need if you forgot something. My son loves the playground. The walk down to the river with a beverage after dinner is the perfect way to end the day. 10/10, see you next year!

Quaint little campground that is well taken care of. We pitched a tent and the spots are huge, 2 tents and room for 2 more. The owners are the nicest people and you can tell they take pride in ownership. A little trail leads down to the river that is groomed with a bench or 2 for sitting in nature. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. The store has mostly everything you cold need and an even dump for your way out! Highly recommend

This hidden gem is so refreshing! We have been traveling and RV Parks bought by corporations lack the care, kindness, hospitality and heart that this private park offers! We found this park when we were passing by. We turned around and spent three days here! Chris and Marcy have put their heart and soul into this place! They have the above and beyond hospitality as well as a plethora of information about the area and the fun adventures nearby. They have a gathering area with very comfortable seating and fire pit in the center. Great play area for children and a dog walk for your fur babies. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily and very accommodating to all. As you can see we have had our fill of other types of RV Parks that tend to be more concerned about the sake than the truth. This place is priceless! We rented a pull through spot with full hookups. There are adorable cabins to rent on this 12 acre pine covered area with a short stroll down to the river. Trails galore to ride and the quaint little town of Troy nearby.

We drove in all the way from Northeast Saskatchewan and arrived about 40 minutes after check-in, but Chris was incredibly kind and welcoming regardless. We stayed two nights in the tenting area and absolutely loved it! The campground is quiet, peaceful, and beautifully kept. The highlight for me? The bathrooms! They were surprisingly clean and well-kept, which was such a treat — especially coming from an area where campground bathrooms are usually dark and a bit scary. We really wish we could have stayed longer, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Kootenai River Campground to anyone passing through or looking for a cozy, relaxing spot to camp.

Chris and Marcy are the best hosts!! They greet you immediately and ensure that you get to your site and are set up properly and safely. They are extremely welcoming, friendly and kind. The store has just about everything you need and the apparel is adorable and the prices you can’t beat! The campground is beautiful with a trail to the beautiful lake, a pet area and playground! The laundry, restrooms and showers are extremely clean and comfortable! The campground is super peaceful at all times of the day! Chris will print you out a map to get to a lake off the campground and they both give insight on things to do and places you must see while you’re here! We spent four days here and it is definitely a great place to stay! If you’re in the Troy MT area for vacation believe me this is where you want to be! Chris and Marcy did not disappoint they are the best! We will definitely be coming back again.

We loved almost everything about this campground! Grassy spots at each site, well maintained. Lots of flowers in unique and cute containers everywhere with cute solar lights in the pots. The laundry room and showers are spotless and spacious. There is a nice big sink outside the laundry room. The playground is amazing. Swings, tire swing, tether ball, an outdoor play kitchen with accessories, a sandbox complete with sand toys and play trucks too! A nice gazebo with seating for about 12. Easy walk to the river with chairs and picnic tables. They will give you hints about what to see, where to go and how to get there whether rafting, hiking, motorcycle riding or driving. This would be a great campground for a family reunion. All the rv sites are pull through which is a bonus! The dog park isn't fenced but it's a big grassy area. It's right on a highway and the train goes by, but it didn't disturb us. The gift shop is amazing with reasonable prices. We are definitely coming back.

We had the best experience staying at Kootenai River Campground! The location is awesome, close to town as well as several cool spots to check out. The owners of the campground are some of the most kind and hospitable people you will find. They truly went above and beyond to ensure each camper was comfortable & equipped for the duration of their stay. They are also full of information on what to do if you need some help ironing out the details of your trip. The grounds are nicely maintained & the whole place has such a cozy feel to it. There is even a cute little playground for the kids. Would recommend staying here time and time again. So glad we had the opportunity to!
