First time here. $71 after my discount seems overpriced. It's a little difficult to get into and out of the park because of the traffic circle. Check-in was fast and friendly. The store has snacks, drinks (mostly beer), some souvenirs and some camping essentials. The park has 3 distinct area. It looks like an old ranch that was converted. The original ranch house is still at the entrance. Most of the park is very old. Most roads are rough with degraded surfaces and tree roots. Many of the sites are small and a tight squeeze to get in and out with the narrow roads. There are lots of trees in most areas, making it tough to get good satellite signal. We had a FHU site all the way in the back south of the lake. This is a newer section where sites and roads are concrete. These sites and are wide and long and roads are wide. There is grass, no trees. It's quiet because it is furthest from the freeway, but the nearest bathroom is all the way back up at the main office. The other drawback to this area is that we had to drive about a half mile up to the front, down the road back to the entrance, to get to the laundry room. It's also a quarter mile to the dumpsters from this section. There is another older section to the west which is for permanent residents. The laundry room was large and clean. Over a dozen machines and only 2 were out-of-order. Adjacent to the laundry was another bathroom with showers. Very clean, nicely appointed. Water got hot and pressure was ok. Plenty of hooks and a bench, but no shelves in the shower. Pools are closed, unknown if they ever open. We were here in March and there were several Christmas trees around the place including in the office. This tells me that they can't be bothered to even do the little things. We only stay at resorts/KOA's every couple of weeks specifically for housekeeping. Dump, showers, laundry and shopping. So, it served a purpose. Not the kind of place we'd spend time at. We camped at Lafayette KOA Holiday in a Fifth Wheel.

We had RSVP for March 2026 which we had made several months ago when planning our “snowbird” trip South. Our son’s family in TX is moving and wanted us to come earlier so my husband called and bumped our RSVP up a few days. Then after reviewing realized we needed to go further than this park. When he called back to cancel they would not refund any of our money. We travel with KOA frequently and have never had this issue. The person said we received this in an email yesterday. We did NOT RECEIVE ANY EMAIL! Not acceptable from KOA!

Very nice campground, laundry facility had loads of machines, atm, and change machine which I love!! Bath houses clean, the little lake was very relaxing with lots of ducks. Very helpful friendly staff. I was on the i10 side of the lake, definitely lots of traffic noise but my camper van is pretty soundproof do that didn't bother me. The other side of the lake would be much quieter if that's a problem for you. I enjoyed my stay, eveb extended several times. I usually hate campgrounds but me and my 2 dogs were content to stay a while!

The park was easy to find. It is located not far off of I 10 . There is pavement all the way. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are paved and in good condition. Our site, 127, was a concrete based pull thru that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is not too bad for an urban park. Our site had a table but NO fire pit. It was flat and even. We are close to the I 10 and could hear road noise when outside. If you don’t want road noise, the other side of the lake would be more suitable. Overall the park was neat and tidy. Just an FYI, the parameter/back in sites have fire pits as well as a view of the pond. We did not use the park included wifi . We did not search for any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult because of the tree canopy. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean and modern as was the laundry facility. There are Kayak/Canoe and Paddle Boat rentals on site for use on the lake. There are swimming pools (that were closed during our visit) as well as play grounds and mini golf as well as fishing the lake. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $52.30 using our KOA card (regular $57.00) per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.

The cheaper sites are up front, right by the freeway. Ok, if you don't mind the noise. The newer sites in the back of the park are much better. The road noise is a bit less. We were in #314, 50 amp. 1 night stop for us.

Spacious campground right along I-10 but traffic noise is negligible. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Reaching or leaving campground is through a tricky little rotary that causes traffic backups, not the fault of KOA, just an FYI. Pull thru site was level and hookups worked well. Many amenities are additional fees.

We had a terrific stay at this campground. Everyone was so nice and campground is beautifull. We will be staying again on our next travel through the area.

Wonderful experience! This is the second time we have stayed with y’all. Very friendly and helpful. Sites are beautiful and very restful. Many activities for children and a great place to spend a week. Only wish we had more time there. And the fishing is great!

Good looking park except for the tent camping area and cabin requirements. You can't choose the cabins unless you stay for 2 nights or more, and we just needed a one night stay. That sounds like a bad way to do business, because we just went across the street and rented a room at the hotel instead. It was walking distance to many things and we were able to get a room for a one night stay. So if you're there for just a day, stay away from this KOA.

We stayed for one night on a stop over to Galveston. There are multiple areas in this park. Older area up front, a little narrow, but very well kept. Obvious newer concrete area some with cabanas, tables, etc. We enjoyed sitting outside at night over looking the pond. We used the park for a base as we explored the area attractions and restaurants. They have two pools. The temperatures were quite hot and the larger pool was warmer than wanted, but okay. Lots of families around enjoying the park.
