Are you kidding me!! This place is technically not a safe swimming area for your dog. Let me explain if you stand back in the left of the dog swimming area is mold and kept very nice, but as you can tell it's a docking area for a pontoon and then you look at the area in between the dog swimming signs, not mode, very unkept and I'll. Wait until you see the pictures. And then of course to the right of the dog swimming area is unkept as well.... Come on, Dickinson, county, you can do better than this b.S for our animals, this is the one and only real area that is legitimately. The dog swimming area and look at this.Look at these videos this is ridiculous!!! I am here every day with my dog. I figured this would be kept up by the campground since it is a part of the park. But obviously by these videos you can see how dog friendly this is. We have metal pipes that are sticking out of the ground. That is tall enough to actually gut a small animal had the pontoon not been there and the dog was running chasing a Frisbee...That is an emergency vet bill waiting to happen....

I absolutely love the little dog swimming area. I spend a lot of time here on hot days with my dog playing Frisbee. And walking the little trail.

What a beautiful park to stay for a week! We stayed in our 5th wheel so we did not use the parks showers or restrooms but they do have nice facilities I was told. The beach area is so nice and there are large cabanas to set up for birthdays or big family get togethers with lots of tables chairs etc. This park is very dog friendly and they even have an area of the beach just for dog swimming! There are stations throughout the park with doggy poo bags in case you forgot yours. Big beautiful trees everywhere and lots of nice grass covering the park. Fire rings are provided if you want to have a fire in camp. This park is a short 4-6 miles from town depending which way you drive out. Everything is there from the coffee shops (I highly recommend NEU CUP for a great cup or coffee and delicious specialty coffee) to Home Depot, grocery stores and several good restaurants. We'll be back there in the spring for sure!

Love this place. Been going here for 50 years and started taking my own children (it snowed on the 4th of July in '75, my first time there). The water is always beautiful, and we always make friends at the beach. We bring our dogs too and never had any problems. They do lose one star though as I tried to buy chocolate for s'mores (since I forgot and what is camping with out them 😬) but they didn't take credit card for that and could not add it to my site charge, but I could add wood to my site charge. The guy behind the counter was kind of rude about it. I'll still go back, just avoid the "store", and have a great time 👍

A beautiful day at on of the cleanest lakes. Several dogs were being walked and one retriever swimming after thrown balls. The beach was a respectable size and clean clean clean. There were plenty of open RV and camping sites.
