We visited in Aug. of 2025 for 3 Days from PA for our first trip to the Great Lakes. The Great: Staff, Disc Golf Course, Showers/Bathrooms, View of Lake Erie, Cleanliness of Park. The Not Great: The Beach, Dead fish everywhere, Driftwood, Trash, Rocks not Sand, Shouldn't be advertised as a beach to be honest. As well as the park Erosion, Electrical lines coming out of the ground, closed camp sites. They have signs, caution tape and wood fencing in some spots but still scary with kids running around and bicycling. We would try somewhere else next year.

Nice place to camp. Not as woodsy as other places but still very nice. Clean facilities and 4 dump sations for a small campground is extremely efficient. Water fill ups throughout. The park Ranger is an amazing human that walks around every night and talks to every camper for a couple minutes and has dog treats ready to hand out to the furry campers. Just a great atmosphere and a great place to camp with a perfect view of the sunsets every evening.

Stayed at the campground for 1 week. Park is clean and mowed regularly. Bathrooms are clean but outdated. Sites have gravel pads which are severely overgrown with weed. Also narrow pads and most not level. Many trees require trimming, some preventing access to the site for larger rvs. A few hanging into the roads as well. Staff has been friendly when interacted with. Biggest plus are the gorgeous sunsets over Lake Erie!

Great park overall with lots if green space, camping space, playground, and walking beach. There is a new rec center too, but we ran out of time and didn't get to check it out.

It was a nice camping ground and people were welcoming. I recommend bringing a small hammer if you have a tent so you can get stakes in the ground. Also, when swimming please use caution as once you get in the water it's a mix of sand and rocks that can be very slippery especially the smooth ones.

This campground is FANTASTIC! When you think State Park there is almost always a compromise, but not here. We stayed on site A23 for a week in mid-July. The campground was busy, but not over-crowded. The campground itself is well maintained and the shower houses are clean. There are tent and RV sites available, with 15/30/50 amp electric service. The water hookups are NOT at each site, but there is one CLOSE to each site, so you can run your house over, fill your tank, and disconnect. The playgrounds and picnic shelters (multiple of each) are in great condition and the views are EPIC! The staff working the office were kind and helpful, and the park ranger Tom stopped by to ask how our visit was. The campground is a GREAT jumping off point for the local area and all the conveniences you could need are within 15 minutes. We will be back again!

Great location. Clean showers, no coins needed, beach I guess just for viewing, due to weeds impossible to fish. Nice staff, and super friendly ranger Tom. Highly recommend to stay here

Beautiful little beach area to walk with easy parking! Great place to picnic and walk the shore picking out for favorite rocks! Very clean as well. There’s also a light house very close to checkout as well! Would definitel visit this location again!

Actually a very cute place to camp near the lake. They have a disc golf course, playgrounds for the kiddos at the camp ground and at the beach. We were tent camping and our booked site was flooded prior to our arrival from past rain and they allowed us to choose a different site which was very nice. We took the canoe out from the beach which was great and our son had a blast with the other kids on the playground as well.

We were on site 17. The site slopes somewhat from front to back but not bad. The site did have 20/30/50 amp hook ups. No water or sewer at site but there is a dump station and potable water as you enter the campgrounds. The site is right on the cliff over looking Lake Erie. From you camp site there is a beautiful view of the lake and best if all the sun set. The grounds are well kept and typical of most state parks. The sites are large and include fire pit and picnic table. It is a short walk to the beach house and access to the lake.
