This place is amazing and it’s close to home. The staff was very nice, family friendly and beautiful campsites. I went in the spring with my daughter and had to take bring the whole family to camp at the 3 sites. Woke up to a beautiful view. And the kiddos enjoyed walking along the low level lake bank to collect shells. Kept them busy away from screen time.

Sawnee campground on Lake Lanier was great! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The view from our site was great. And it's close to some great restaurants. We weren't in the mood for cooking after a long day on the road so it was great to have so many close options for dinner. But still feel secluded in the campground. It was our weekend at the lake.

We camped here for two weeks and really enjoyed our stay. Jerry and his volunteer host team are so friendly and welcoming to the guests. The campground is very clean with no litter. The bathhouses are older but are very clean and welcoming. We will be returning again soon because of the stress free environment.

My boyfriend and I camped there earlier this week because we were in the area for the Phish shows in Alpharetta and we had a great time. The campsite was well taken care of and clean. The electric and water worked great. Clean, maintained bathrooms. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The Camp Host even allowed us to borrow kayaks for a few hours. It was a beautiful place to camp.

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 different stays here. We LOVE TENT CAMPING; so we put up the tent on the RV sites impact areas. This allowes us to have water/electricity also. The staff here at Swanee Campground are friendly & willing to help any way they can. The bathrooms, showers, washers/dryers, & the sink to do dishes in are always clean & smell amazing. My son says "it smells like a bowl of fruit loops freshly poured"; if you enter the bathroom right after they are cleaned. Our campsites (#38 & #10) were both clean and had fishing access. Site #10; allowes for night fishing from the tent! Jerry has been so helpful in assisting us with our booking & ALL of our general questions. He has made this an AMAZING camping experience

Great campground. Paved roads and sites. 50 amp electric and water with clean dump station. Additionally, we had a heavy night of rain and our firepit was under water. We asked the host if he could move it which he did immediately and we were able to have a fire. 😄

This is a 6 STAR Forsyth County Campground! Jerry and his staff go over the top to make your stay a wonderful experience. The facilities are very, very clean the sites and playground are extremely well maintained. I love the staff's positive attitude and welcoming spirit towards accommodating any needs a camper may have during their visit.

I stayed the weekend and it was so nice. Hosts were awesome. Jerry, the manager, is kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. For those that haven't stayed here, you're missing out. It's a small campground, but the sites are spread out and shady. It's very convenient to GA 400 and shopping/ restaurants, while having many lake sites. I will definitely be back.

We love this campground! And the manager Jerry is so customer service oriented and extremely friendly. While we were there, he or his staff were very available when we needed something. The campground is very clean and the sites are excellent. We have already been twice and we will definitely go back!

Other guests were incredibly rude and started playing in the water at our campsite invading our space and calm area even though they had their own site. The host came over and talked to them but still didn't make them leave. The rest of our quiet afternoon was ruined. Will not be going back.
