My wife’s family always goes camping Labor Day weekend. They chose Lakeland this year. After reading reviews I was honestly a little worried. But I’m here to say it was very enjoyable. Employees were friendly and very helpful and kind. This is a campground with a lake. There are a lot of park models then campers. Quit time is 11pm. Yes some people were playing music loud on golf carts and cabins. But at this time I literally heard people turn off music at 11pm exactly. The main road to the boat ramp is busy obviously but didn’t bug us. The cabin the family got was clean and very spacious. Neighbors by our and the cabins campsite were very friendly and inviting. Eric was very friendly and was accommodating to get our camper closer to the families cabin. If you want to enjoy the campground to its full potential I would rent a golf cart which we did. This is a very busy campground which I would expect with how many sites they have. I do wish there was an arcade or the store was bigger. We would definitely come back again.

Our stay at the camping cabin was a wonderful experience, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a family getaway. The location is perfect – the lake is just a short walk away, making it easy to relax by the water every day. The campsite also has a very clean and well-maintained swimming pool where we enjoyed spending time. Another huge advantage is the playground – not only large and modern, but also several smaller ones, which gave our kids plenty of opportunities to play and never get bored. The professionalism and kindness of the staff also deserve special recognition – always smiling, helpful, and ready to assist. What’s more, there is never an issue with adding extra items to the cabin if needed, or quickly replenishing anything that runs out – everything is handled smoothly and with great care for guests’ comfort. The resort also offers many additional attractions for both children and adults – activities, games, evening events – everyone can find something to enjoy. This was already our fourth stay this year, and we’re already planning our next visits, which shows just how much we love this place. I can fully recommend this camping cabin to anyone who values comfort, good organization, and a friendly atmosphere.

Horrible place to stay – Unsafe, Unprofessional, and False Advertising This was by far the worst vacation experience we've ever had. From the moment we checked in, it was clear this place is poorly managed, falsely advertised, and completely unsafe—especially for families with children. We booked the 6–8 person cabin and paid additional fees for extra guests, but the cabin barely accommodated four people. We were a group of seven: two couples, one 6-year-old, two toddlers, and a small dog. The cabin only had two full beds and a couch, making the sleeping arrangements completely unreasonable. Over the phone, they told us golf carts were available but failed to mention we needed to reserve them in advance. By the time we arrived, they were fully booked, and we were left walking everywhere with three small children. To make matters worse, the cabin itself was damaged with nails sticking out—extremely dangerous for kids. We checked in on July 3rd. No one explained any rules verbally—just handed us a folder and keys. Later that evening, my husband lit a single firework to celebrate the Fourth of July. A staff member, Eric, stormed over yelling and threatening to kick us out. When my husband and brother-in-law calmly apologized, Eric aggressively escalated the situation and tried to start a fight—seemingly provoked by the fact that my brother-in-law is Middle Eastern. It felt like a clear case of racism and intimidation. The next day, my sister’s small dog slipped off the leash for less than a minute before being immediately retrieved. Again, a woman from the office came yelling and threatening to evict us. Then, while walking to the beach with our children, several drunk teenagers came speeding down the road in golf carts. They were driving recklessly and nearly ran over my son and me. Not only was there no supervision, but the staff did nothing to control the chaos. It was terrifying and completely unacceptable. After that, we stayed inside the cabin for the rest of our stay just to feel safe. This place is a complete disaster. It’s unsafe, the staff is hostile and unprofessional, and the amenities are nothing like what’s advertised. If you’re thinking about staying here—especially with kids—do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. Not worth your time, money, or peace of mind.

Nice place to park the RV. Sites were not very level which caused a few problems but we worked them out. Only one thing wrong, too noise with all the golf carts speeding around. I saw several carts with the driver going to fast and they had beer in their hand. I’m not against drinking but speeding and drinking when kids were sharing the roads.

The good the bad and the ugly. This place is located right on the lake which is a huge plus. They have ample size sites with water and electric. When we arrived the electric was not turned on, and I had to find a breaker panel to get it switched on. The campers that are not seasonal are put as far back away from the front office and pool as possible. There are golf carts everywhere. I was honestly surprised no one got ran over while we were there. We counted 27 golf carts passing us just walking up to the front. My daughter was chased by a woman and several teenagers on a golf cart so they could make fun of her. They even rode around several times trying to look for us to bully her. I don't stand for that. Lastly, the bathrooms were disgusting. Clogged, dirty, smelly gross. The dump station is located right near the main office, which causes campers to line up right in front of the office. We were backed into by a van that was parked in the parking space. They charge over 300 for the weekend and you can find a 5 star hotel for cheaper. Save your money and look elsewhere as there are tons of other places in the area.

Nice campground, my family had a great time. My only complaint is that the staff seems to only care about seasonal campers. My holding tanks were full and I asked the staff if they offered pump out services and they told me that they only do that for seasonal campers. The porta potties were also not maintained at all I told the office about it and they never did anything. They do have bathrooms that are quite a walk away from where we were staying. Other than cleanliness issues it was a nice a place.

Lovely place. Large lots with green space, couple playgrounds, brand new pool neighboring the largest lake in the area.
