Lazy Lake RV Park
Overview
Lazy Lake RV Park offers a serene and intimate setting for travelers visiting the Alabama coast. Centered around a stocked 14-acre private lake, this park provides a tranquil alternative to the larger, busier commercial resorts found throughout the region. Visitors often appreciate the slower pace of life here, where the focus remains on natural surroundings and quiet relaxation. Whether you are staying for a few days or an entire season, the park serves as a comfortable home base for exploring the unique landscape of Gulf Shores.
Location & Surroundings
Situated just north of the bustling beach districts, the park enjoys a prime location in Gulf Shores, AL that balances convenience with privacy. It is located far enough from the main tourist corridors to avoid heavy traffic noise, yet it is only a short drive from the sugar-white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. The property is surrounded by mature trees and coastal vegetation, providing a shaded, park-like atmosphere that feels worlds away from the high-rise condos and crowded public beach areas.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is designed with simplicity and functionality in mind, offering full-hookup RV sites with 30 and 50-amp electrical service. The standout feature is undoubtedly the lake, which is perfect for catch-and-release fishing right from the shore. On-site facilities include clean bathhouses and convenient laundry rooms to ensure a comfortable stay. Each site is typically level and equipped with a picnic table, while the park-wide WiFi helps guests stay connected while enjoying their peaceful coastal retreat.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Adventure is never far away, as the park is just minutes from Gulf State Park, which features miles of paved hiking and biking trails. For those seeking excitement, the amusement rides at OWA and the extensive shopping at Tanger Outlets in Foley are just a short drive north. Of course, the main draw remains the Gulf Shores Public Beach, where visitors can enjoy world-class swimming and sunbathing. Local seafood restaurants and charter fishing docks are also easily accessible from this central location.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal choice for couples and solo travelers who value a quiet environment over high-energy resort amenities like splash pads or organized activities. It is particularly popular with winter residents and snowbirds looking for a long-term stay in a friendly, community-oriented setting. If your travel style favors peaceful mornings by the water and easy access to the beach without the beachfront crowds, Lazy Lake RV Park will likely fit your needs perfectly.

It has a family atmosphere, the neighbors are the best and for $465 a month it's the best like secret in Gulfshores.

Lovely, quiet place. Some of the pics shown are not from this RV park.

Small, private, older park. Mostly full timers or folks who stay more than a month. Cement plant next door fires up at 3 or 4 am. Not great but beats railroads that are close to some parks. Location is nice. Rent is extremely reasonable for the gulf. Host lives on site. Nice enough but slow to respond if you want to book what few sites might be available.

So much for Friendly and Inviting. When I called the lady that answered the phone acted like I was interrupting her. She asked what I needed and I told her I was looking to move down there around February and was looking for an RV spot until I could get a place to buy or rent. She said she was not sure if she could make me a reservation or not and then asked how many people and I told her just me and my dog. She immediately asked how big my dog is and told her he is a Min Pin and Corgi cross. She said that was to large of a dog and they only allow small dogs. My dog is well behaved and loved by everyone that meets him and he is a small dog. She said he is too big and that she could not help me. Not sure if it was really the dog or just the immediate feeling I got of not being wanted there to start with. Either way, I did not get the friendly and inviting feeling from the start of the conversation. Bad part is, I fell in love with the place from the pictures and the reviews talking about how nice and quite it is and the fact that they like to keep rift raft and young noisy partiers out. I like quite and I stick to myself and this place seemed perfect for me, but I guess it was not meant to be.

Very affordable and the couple that runs it are very sweet, so far so good. Nothing fancy but clean and has all the things you need.

Worst rv park ever. If u have kids or like to have any fun do not stay here. I respect a retirement village but if that's what is then let people know from the get go.

beautifully arranged park with a lake view for all campers. Caught some tasty Bluegill from the lake. The shower house is spic & span as well as heated... perfect!

I can not say enough good things about this place. They have large spacious lots with a very nice lake for fishing. The owners are extremely pleasant. Some complain about the noise from the concrete plant next door but we didn't hear it at all. It is close to so many shop & restaurants with a short drive to the beach. Thank u so much for the southern hospitality. We had a blast and will definitely be back.

I love the environment! The management are also very well intended people, I haven't met them personally although you can tell by how they maintain everything and how inviting the place truly does seem. In terms of maintenance, I couldn't be happier. The pond is stocked well with fish, the wash houses are very clean and inviting, the grass is kept clean cut and beautiful. Over all the place is just clean. To elaborate on the inviting nature of the park, the name says it all. Gulf shores is a wonderful vacation town and I highly recommend staying here if you decide to visit. God bless
