It's a nice campground. I prefer campgrounds a little more space between my neighbor and me. It is on the lake has a boat launch which is very nice. Google seems to think this is a hotel so many of the questions they have on here like rooms is irrelevant.

Large campground, stacked in like cord wood but the campground is beautiful. The lake, sunrise and sunset are beautiful. Nice swimming area. I loved walking the dogs thru the stand of pines and into the field. Lots of summer activities for the kiddos.

We stayed here for the first time on a girls trip and absolutely loved our stay. The campground was clean and well maintained. On our many trips to the store, Lauren was super helpful! We didn’t have a long enough water hose and she quickly got one delivered to our site to borrow for our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Beginning to get a little run down. Nice for camping with kids. Definitely family oriented. Quiet and safe. Boat ramp in disrepair and very narrow, short & shallow. We chose to put in elsewhere.

My husband and I booked for 4 nights, but we’re enjoying ourselves and the campground so much that we added two more nights. There are games to play, a playground for the little ones, and the water is so relaxing. They have pontoon, canoe and kayak rentals if you don’t have your own. People around the campsites were very friendly, met some nice people. Bathroom & showers were very clean. Looking forward to visiting again

We had a great stay at Leelanau Pines this past fall. The grounds and facilities were clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed being right on the lake and enjoying the views. The park was in a great location, quick drive to Leland and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I recently camped at Leelanau pines, Lakeside camping resort. The facilities were clean, the staff were helpful. We stayed at campsite Y with full hook up with 30 amp service. The campsite was level and bigger than most of this state campgrounds campsites. We were able to watched the northern lights in the big field at the entrance of their campground. It was October bathrooms were clean and heated. They had two bathrooms, with plenty of toilets and urinals with two showers per bathroom and plenty of hot water. We stayed for five nights received a 30% discount one of the reasons why we decided to camp there for our annual fall color tour. We did three day trips and walked many of the trails, including some of them around the sleeping bear dunes. This campground is in a great location. I think 60% or more of the campsites had seasonal trailers on them. We recommended this campground to anyone who has a recreational vehicle and wants to camp in the Traverse City area.

Upon arrival, 4 very gruff and rude men (staff) helped us back into our camp spot (we've backed into MANY on our own), and they said "I'm never letting anyone arrive after hours again. It was 8 pm. This is a very grumpy campground and if you plan on coming after 6 - good luck! I gave it a 3 because it truly is a beautiful campground.. and most of the seasonal members are very nice.
