Lewisville Lake Park Campground
Overview
Lewisville Lake Park Campground offers a scenic getaway on the shores of one of North Texas’s most popular reservoirs. Managed by the city, this site provides a balance between natural lakeside beauty and the convenience of modern RV facilities. It serves as a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape the bustle of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex while remaining close to urban amenities and services. The park is well-regarded for its clean environment and its commitment to preserving the shoreline experience for visitors.
Location & Surroundings
Situated on the southern edge of Lewisville Lake, the park is characterized by mature hardwood trees and expansive waterfront views. The campground is tucked away from major highways, providing a quiet atmosphere where the sounds of water and local wildlife predominate. Its position within the larger Lake Park area means visitors are surrounded by over 600 acres of dedicated parkland and green space that feels worlds away from the city, despite being just minutes from major local thoroughfares.
Amenities & Park Features
The facility features over 100 campsites equipped with full hookups including water, sewer, and electrical service. Most sites offer level concrete pads that accommodate various rig sizes and types. Guests have access to clean restrooms with hot showers, a laundry room, and a playground for children. The park also provides controlled access with a gated entrance and on-site staff to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for all campers throughout their stay.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do, from fishing and boating on the lake to exploring the paved walking and biking trails. Golfers can enjoy the adjacent 18-hole disc golf course or the traditional Lake Park Golf Club located right next door. For those seeking city life, the vibrant shops and dining of Old Town Lewisville are just a short drive away, offering a unique mix of local culture, breweries, and seasonal live entertainment.
Who This Park Is Best For
This campground is an ideal choice for families and outdoor lovers who prioritize water access and a relaxed, natural environment. It is particularly well-suited for travelers who want a traditional camping experience without sacrificing the comforts of full utility connections. Wonderful, affordable camping. $25 for power, water, hot showers, trash, dump access. It was clean with nice semi-shaded spots. I felt safe here. Great view of the lake from my camper!

Fantastic RV park by the lake. Very affordable. 50amp and water hook up with a dump point. The staff at check in need to be replaced. Planes overhead coming in to land at DFW noise was acceptable.

Nice campground. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lake is beautiful. Very nice walking path around the lake. If you have business in Dallas, I highly recommend this campground. 20 to 30 minute ride into Dallas.

First camp spot from being full time RVers, such a beautiful scene here. Really wish I could give 5 stars but just like most things, humans have ruined it, not picking up after their pets. Also can't ever seem to get anyone to answer the office phone or call back after a message is left.

Camped with a 42' motorhome. Beautiful setting and super clean. Karen was very accommodating. She was able to get us in two days early to avoid some weather.

Stayed here for two weeks!! Beautiful park- a short walk to the lake - huge property with lots of room to wander. A nice young lady checked us in and luckily we did not encounter the issues some of the other reviews encountered. I’m guessing that the day we checked in the difficult lady had the day off? Anyhow we very much enjoyed our visit! Perhaps if anyone who manages the park reads the reviews that will talk to the park employees about customer service?

ALL 50-Amp sites are unlevel except #78 & 79 (both handicapped sites). Front tires will likely be off the ground when level. Price good. Limited to 14 day stay. No "guest" parking in park. Good lake view. We stay here a lot.
