Erika was very rude and unprofessional. She got upset when I asked if she could move the pop-up box to the side so I can read the contract before I sign. Then when I asked about the renters insurance she said, "I don't know anything about the policy since it's a different company." So I asked, "Can you please give me a contact number so I can ask them?" She told me, "Go rent somewhere else, we don't need you asking questions, we just need people who will just sign and pay!" Let's just say I have found a much better, more courteous storage facility that understands the meaning of customer service! SecureSpace in Torrance! Jonathan is amazing!

I have been a customer of Life Storage in Torrance since 2011. My monthly rate went from $90 to $210, at which point I decided to move to a smaller unit elsewhere. I love the location but I needed to downsize and they didn’t have any units available that met my needs. My interaction with the staff was minimal but I did notice when I needed to speak to someone by phone, it was difficult to reach anyone or get a return call back. I checked out of my unit today and was helped by Erica. At first, she sounded curt and unfriendly, but after she realized that I am a long-term customer and wasn’t intimidated by her, she warmed up and was quite nice. I reported to her an unpleasant interaction with a cleaning person named DONOVAN. He was very rude and had a superior, mightier-than-thou attitude. I was preparing my storage so I can vacate it the following day. He was unhappy that we had stuff on the aisle and he had to go to the next aisle. He told us, with an authoritative tone of voice, that we needed to keep the aisle clear so other renters can pass by. There was no one around at that time! We cleared a path and he passed by a couple of times to make sure we were in compliance. That is no way to treat a customer!

We own a business next door to the Torrance location, lease a storage unit from them, and the Operations Manager Erika G. who wears many hats, is always willing to help us out with our needs. If it's something she can't get done for us immediately, or need the head office to take action, she'll continue to stay on top of them for us until the job gets done. She's currently working on another one of our requests, and we have high confidence in her that she'll get it completed ASAP. Thanks Erika!!!

Erika took my phone to help me reserve a place online and turned the phone away from me for a long period of time. During this time she left herself a positive review of 5 stars. I am beginning to wonder what else she did with my phone during this time. Please review Yelp reviews as this store gets all negative reviews removed from Google.
