Locally operated resort placing you within a few miles of the most wonderful trails and sites that Mt St Helens has to offer. The rooms/cabins are simple affairs. They have a bed with a couple of side tables with charging stations USB and PowerPoint. Bathroom is clean and the shower was nice. There was also a small kitchenette with a micro, coffee pot, and fridge. The resort has a little cafe with excellent home cooked quality meals, outstanding service, and a decent menu. There is a small shop there for your last minute camp/hiking needs as well as a plethora of tourist regalia mugs, tshirts, etc. The resort has a pool and even a mining area for kids. This was a great find - would definitely stay here again. It was just so awesome to have a hot shower and a nice bed after a big hike day.

This place is great. The cabin was cozy and not overly appointed or crowded with stuff. The area is beautiful. The cafe on site has great food and a good selection of local brews. Food is a little on the pricey side, but worth the cost. Nice souvenir/sundry shop on site. There is a community building with pool and karaoke. Wifi is available, but it is spotty. It can make planning your exploration of the area a little difficult. Pro tip...before you head of on your exploration, drive across the street and park next to the fire station. They have a micro cell tower there and you can download your maps before heading into the park. Zero service in the park. The only thing is change is putting a timer on the exterior cabin LED lights. I couldn't figure out how to turn them off and it creates light pollution limiting your view of the sky. You can see the Milky Way if you find a really dark spot.

I only stayed 1 night here. The resort had a great location if you are climbing Mt. St. Helens or visiting the Ape caves and other hikes in the area. The staff is friendly. The restaurant food and service were good. The room I stayed, 4D. Was a nice decent size room. The only complaint I have is that they didn't have a bath mat or any hand bars to hold to get into the bathtub. The bathtub is kind of high. I almost slip. Providing one in the bathroom would go along way. None the less. Would recommend this place to others and will stay here again

My third stay. This place is exceptionally good! Very cool, Timberline Lodge-style furniture in each carefully arranged, immaculately tended room. All the plumbing and utilities are modern, completely updated. The restaurant offers a conventional menu, but the dishes are very well prepared. Service is great all around.

We had a wonderful experience at Lone Fir. We originally planned to only stay one night but once we got there we immediately booked a second. We were in the area to see Mount St Helen’s which was only a 20 minute drive to one of the view points and Ape Cave. Our cabin was so cute and cozy, just as pictured online. The shower and complimentary products were great quality. It was much needed after camping most of our way from Arizona. The cafe was delicious and service was great. The only disappointment was that breakfast is only served on weekends. However the burgers and bacon Mac and cheese were absolutely delicious!! The WiFi worked the entire time we were there which was great since cell service is non existent in that area. We definitely plan to stay here again in the near future!

The unit was perfectly clean and exactly as described. We only stayed one night, but it allowed my two adult sons and I to have a hot shower and a great night's sleep before life-long memories were made the next day.

Nice place. Clean bathroom. I didn't like the lights were on a 15 min. timer, so after I washed up & sat to potty I was left in darkness. Good huckleberry sundaes. It was quiet.

We loved staying here. You know how you stay somewhere, walk around in your socks & they get filthy? Not here! Great bed, lots of hot water, soft , good quality linens, restaurant has great food, pool upkeep top notch, really friendly staff. And major beauty just outside!

This is our third stay at Lone Fir Resort on our way to explore Mt St Helens and each time has been wonderful. The check in process was smooth, the staff are friendly and professional, our cabin was clean and comfortable, and our dinner at the restaurant was fantastic after a long day outside. Highly recommend this place and I look forward to going back next year!
