Guests have access to full hookup sites with 30 and 50-amp electrical service, accommodating a wide range of RV sizes. One of the most unique features is the private river access, which allows visitors to enjoy fishing, birdwatching, or simply relaxing by the water without leaving the property.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the park boundaries, the Central Valley offers several unique points of interest. Many travelers use the resort as a starting point for excursions to Yosemite National Park, which is reachable for a dedicated day trip. Closer to the park, visitors can explore the Turlock Lake State Recreation Area or view vintage aircraft at the Castle Air Museum. The area is also known for agritourism, offering numerous opportunities to visit local farm stands and orchards for fresh California produce.

No code was given for a gate. We waited about 15 minutes to check in at 6pm and when I asked for a gate code so we could go get food after setting up he told me to call to be let back in. After becoming a paying customer I think I deserve to have the gate code to get back in. If security is an issue you can change the code often or hire an onsite security guard. Many run down RVs all over the place. Also even though we stayed between the boards on our site a tree damaged our ladder because the site isn’t set up to accommodate the size of RV that we had. Big rigs beware.

Pretty park, lots of trees. Trees can cause issues, as Mother Nature has her own agenda, but the Nature is very nice. Quiet most of the time; grounds keepers work hard as does Office staff & they are all very pleasant. Water pipes sometimes break, limbs fall, cable & wifi is wonky, but the rural location is very nice. Park is animal friendly. Rent is high for what you get, and you pay for electricity. I've been here for a while now & intend to stay. No place is perfect ... owners are the ones making the calls & staff has to deal with the fall out. I plan on staying :-). Oh, they have a dog park & walking trails. Good stuff overall

Probably the worst park manage rv park I've stayed in by far. The stray cat problem is insane, with the 2 women running the park constantly feeding them and protecting them. There's 50 cats or more at any given time running around the park freely on top of vehicles, underneath vehicles and trailers, running around in packs. And nothing is being done about it. This has been a problem for years.

Really nice place at the river for one night, huge playground for the kids (they loved it!). Bathrooms would need an update, everythings quite old. Traffic and train (depending on wind) quite noisy.

Courteous and helpful staff, convenient, quiet location. Helen in the office, and Harry the night security man are good folks.

We are currently staying at the Mercedes River RV resort and are enjoying it immensely! It is a beautiful setting along the river with mature oak trees and lots of open green spaces. The dog park is one of the best that we’ve encountered at an RV park. The staff keep the park clean and mowed and have all been friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend!

This RV park is impressively well-maintained, with friendly and attentive staff who clearly put effort into its upkeep. You’ll find a number of long-time residents here, which adds a homey feel—though some RVs could use a good wash to keep the overall look of the park fresh and vibrant. The dog areas are a great addition, and our pups enjoyed them! Just a heads up—some pet owners aren’t the best at tidying up after their furry friends, so keep an eye out when strolling around. There is some freeway and train noise at night, but with earplugs, it wasn’t too bothersome. One memorable little surprise was a group of sweet, curious kittens that hung around near our spot, though a few of them seemed to be dealing with eye issues. All in all, it was a pretty enjoyable stay for a NorCal stop!

Awesome park & wonderful hosts! My spot was wide and clean with a patio, small yard, & picnic table. I love that they have a small population of fixed and vaccinated cats. Rodents have been an issue at several high end parks I’ve visited. I didn’t see hide nor hair of the buggars here. Well done, kitties! It’s 106° and the tall canopy trees are not only gorgeous, but they kept my rig shady and comfortable all day. It’s a short walk to the river, so there’s plenty of scenery, and they even have a small sundries store. I’ll definitely be back.
