No complaints! The bathrooms were clean and the owner was funny and friendly. We only stayed for the night. But if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come through

We camped over long weekend, Oct 16-20 to be able to attend the Balloon Festival in Statesville. Although the campground offers many amenities, I must say they rate a 1 or 2. The restrooms and bathhouses were dirty and smelled of sewage. The tables at the covered shelter were dirty. Picnic tables in ruins. Sites not taken care of. I definitely would not recommend staying at this campground.

Don’t stay at this campground if it is October. Literally can’t have any peace of spending time in nature. Wicked Woods haunted trail is going on this month, and is extremely loud and repetitive. If we had hear pop goes the weasel, a loud train engine or chainsaw one more time we were going to lose it. There was no mention of this event when we booked. Meanwhile there is no desk service on the weekend. Check in consisted of picking an envelope off the door. No one was in the office. The restrooms were dirty and in ill repair.

Very clean and quiet. A storm came through and a tree fell over. Theo immediately cleaned it up. The pool is salt water cleaned - no chlorine. Well stocked store and plenty shade. Lower pond is not nice. Barbecue restaurant 3.5 miles away.

I have been out to the camp grounds for 3 years in a row. Father's day last year was amazing. They had a pancake breakfast for everyone and lots of fun arts and crafts. I have been camping several times. They have the best sites, full power and water hook ups. Even for tent sites. But We got to see the fireworks show this year. And they did not disappoint. i am almost 40 years old and I have never seen a show as good as that one was. The owners are amazing and so nice, The place is kept clean and you can tell that they really care about the property. There is also a gas station less then 2 mile from the sites. Just incase you need something. They also have a small shop in the office. My family and I have truly enjoyed ourselves. Every time we come out there. Thank y'all so much

My family and I stayed here long term (month and a half) as we transitioned from moving to Florida to North Carolina. This place has become our home away from home. The amenities like the pool, bounce pillow, and playground were really helpful at keeping our toddler entertained. The lake had baby swans we got to see grow up. The heart of this place is the staff and the people who are long term tenants. They made us feel right at home and safe right off the bat. Scott and Bert were so fun and helpful. Always had a smile on their faces. Every week they delivered a list of activities for the weekend from bingo to a magic show to ice cream parties. Their 4th of July celebration was so festive and fun! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Midway. We love you guys! - The Plant Family

My husband and I can not say enough good things about Midway Campground. We stayed just for one day and night but enjoyed every minute and didn't want to leave. We have a 25 ft RV and picked a full hook up site by the lake. Loved the wildlife, squirrels, ducks, and baby geese. Scott, who works there, is super friendly and accommodating. He made our stay even better with his kindness. Looking forward to going back.

We've had the best experience here. I highly recommend it with or without kids. You can't beat a clean family owned place. You can tell they care for the land and the campers. This is the best campground we've been to thus far.

We were here during the off season. March 1st-3rd. This is a very nice RV park. It was easy to reserve our spot. The park is well maintained. The on site amenities include a pool, bounce bubble, basketball and racquet ball courts, game room, fishing pond, mini golf, corn hole court, a horseshoe pit, volleyball, store, showers, cabins. Ect.. it is a gated park with a key card needed for access. Guests must pay a daily fee to visit you here, but its not expensive. Our site was fairly level and setup was easy. If your looking to stay in this area, this is an excellent choice. It's A Good Sam affiliated site as well. Water was clean with decent pressure. We stayed on a patio site with a fireplace. Very nice. Cable is also provided with 45 channels. Everything worked well and we had a nice stay. Its close to the interstate, so there is some background noise from it, but its far enough off to not keep you up at night. The People here were friendly and showed genuine concern and appreciation of the guests. I would stay here again without hesitation.

We will never stay here again. Bldgs outdated. Maintenence lacking. Sites not level and dog park is a disaster.
