Mineola Civic Center & RV Park
Overview
Mineola Civic Center & RV Park provides a unique blend of community hospitality and comfortable accommodations in the heart of East Texas. Originally established as a hub for local events and gatherings, the park offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment for travelers passing through or staying to explore the region. Unlike more secluded campgrounds, this facility places visitors within a manicured civic park setting that serves as a community landmark. The grounds are spacious and provide a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the genuine small-town charm of the area.
Location & Surroundings
The park is conveniently situated in Mineola, Texas, famously known as the Antique Capital of East Texas. It is located just a short distance from the historic downtown district, where travelers can enjoy a walk through brick-lined streets and vintage storefronts. The surrounding landscape features the lush greenery and vibrant Piney Woods region. Its proximity to Highway 69 and Highway 80 makes it an incredibly accessible stop for those traveling across the state while remaining tucked away enough to ensure a quiet evening experience away from heavy traffic.
Amenities & Park Features
The facility is designed to accommodate a variety of rigs with its level concrete pads and spacious site layouts. Every site provides full hookups, including 30 and 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. Guests have access to reliable high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the grounds, as well as clean on-site restrooms and showers. The park also includes a laundry facility and is adjacent to large open spaces for recreation. Families will appreciate the on-site playground and walking paths that wind through the civic center grounds, offering plenty of room to relax.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts will find much to love with the Mineola Nature Preserve located nearby, offering miles of trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian use. History buffs can explore the historic Mineola Depot and Museum or catch a show at the Select Theater, one of the oldest operating cinemas in the state. For those who enjoy shopping, the downtown area is filled with unique antique malls and local boutiques. Additionally, Lake Fork, a premier destination for professional bass fishing, is just a short drive away, making this park an excellent base for anglers.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal choice for travelers who value cleanliness and convenience over a rugged wilderness experience. It is perfectly suited for retirees and couples looking for a quiet home base while exploring the local antique scene or attending events at the civic center. Because of the paved sites and easy access, it is also highly recommended for big-rig owners who want a stress-free setup. We rented the Magnolia room for our 40 year Mineola HighSchool reunion. Working with the management beforehand was easy and stress free. When we arrived to decorate, the space was clean and set up as promised. The manager even stopped by the room to make sure that we had everything that we needed. This was a great experience from beginning to end.

Went for a rv rally. So, the rv sites were packed full. Our site was 30 Amp. But, the electrical stump had issues. Finally got electricity on, but there were multiple breaker failures. Also the damn sewer dump was uphill from the sewer drain on the RV. So, I had to drain and walk the sewage up to the level of the drain within the hose. Gravity wasn’t my friend. No shade. Ant piles on our site. Feral cats peed on our stuff. Other than that, Nice town!

Ms Lisa really knows her community. This park area is a perfect place for fun and adventure. Something for everyone: splash pad (during May -Sep), playground, full hookups campground, pavilion, restrooms with showers, catered meals, inside rooms for meetings, pickleball courts and tons of free space for biking, outside games, and even sports practice. I’m glad we found this area.

Here for 2 weeks for a rv rally. Very nice community center with walking or biking trails. Close to supermarket and town. And they have tennis and pickleball courts outside.🎾🏓

We enjoyed our week here at the RV Park. Loved the central location right in town and close to many amenities. The playground was a wonderful amenity but could use some updating and maintenance as many of the toys were rusted and in need of repair. The Restroom/Shower are appreciated but the timer is so short and the lights shut off automatically making it hard to help a toddler in the Restroom/Shower. The woman in the front office was one of the sweetest people we've met so far. I could have chatted with her for hours. Great to have such a social and happy person greeting the public. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay at this RV Park. Thanks 😊

My grandkids love the playground and splash park at the civic center. We go there a lot when they're in town.
