It was a great location! 6 minutes from Big Badlands Overlook, which is a great view of the sunrise. The park was clean, with easy access. The staff was friendly and they sell a few local items at the front. We did not go in the pool, but it seemed clean and usable. Avoid the gas station a cross the street. It was closed at the time and their card machines were not working.

We enjoyed our stay! Nice people, nice accommodations, clean, felt safe, and small so it felt less crowded. Mostly gravel pads. You can hear the highway but you can't see it. Perfect spot to park to drive through the badlands and stop in Wall. Don't get the gas across the street. Price gouger for "last stop to Badlands" was .60 more.

We were looking for a relaxing day before heading further west and this was a great stopping point. I had scheduled our stay for a different day but they very easily changed the date so we could come earlier. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was super clean and cold (on a hot day). It was convenient to the interstate and the gas station across the road had cute prairie dogs for the kids to see.

This place was great. I stayed in the motel portion as I was looking for a place to crash while passing through. Everything else was booked or overpriced, but there was a room here. I was honestly surprised when I walked into the room. It was cute and cabin-like, very comfortable. Definitely don't expect a premium room, but this was very comfortable and clean and I had a great night's sleep. I wish I could have stayed a couple more days, both to explore the badlands more and to enjoy the pleasant room I had. One of the light fixtures was broken, but I didn't really mind. I expect those things with a motel and this place made up for it with the comfortable atmosphere. Our room did have the cleanest/newest shower of our entire trip so far, so that was a plus. Definitely worth the price we paid.

The pool was nice, so I’ll start with that. No shade, but it’s South Dakota so I assume that’s to be expected. Our grass site was not cleaned at all before we arrived - I get that we are “roughing it”, but there were several piles of (hopefully) dog poo and a giant pile of hair. Either someone shaved their dog or their head, or maybe Big Foot chose that spot to clean up?! The bathrooms were dirty, fixtures weren’t secure, I didn’t dare shower so I can’t comment on their cleanliness or functionality. We inquired about leaving a day early and were told “there are no refunds, so I don’t really care when you leave”. If you’re looking to camp and visit the Badlands, use Cedar Pass campground in the park. There were tons of open tent sites and their picnic tables all had shade coverings (but they don’t have a pool).

This place was a fortunate find. The motel portion of it was very reasonable. Especially, for a last minute booking. The young gentleman who took the booking was pretty awesome. To be honest for how inexpensive it was and some the reviews on here I was more than impressed with our room. The room was very clean and set up very nicely. The location was perfect for any of the site seeing attractions in the area and ideal for the badlands. The shower was amazing nice hot water that lasts. This will be my go to place whenever we come back again. What makes it even better is it also has an option to camp!!

I don't know about the naysayers but this is a well kept campground! This was a perfect place for us to stay for one night! It is right of the freeway so we were able to just get back on there! Bathrooms are what you expect from any campground. There are showers but didn't have the time to use them. The sunset is beautiful, visible from almost any campsite here. Spacious, quite, clean!Half way to the campsite we looked at the rating and reviews and we were concerned at what we might have been walking into but we definitely changed our mine once situated. Might have just been our night but the milky way was very clear! We even saw a comet IT WAS AWESOME! There was also a(n) lighting storm in the distance as well!
