Blue Lake Campground looks fantastic. A camp in the desert... yet, looks the same as any Campground in any national forest... I love it... I will camp here here if the opportunity is present...

Beautiful spot. There's were so many mosquitoes that drove me insane, but I can't fault nature for being nature.

Very nice camp ground and well kept. Has bathrooms and running water spotted throughout park. I like the fact that you can pick your spot and then go sign in for that space. Well worth the $8.00 a day to stay. Lake is really nice and full of fish. Do yourself a favor and take a walk around the lake. You should see a lot of wildlife if you enjoy such things. The views are great, and it is a good place to sit back and have a drink and relax!! Well it is now time to update everyone as of 10/6/24. Now they do not allow OHV or ATV's in the camp grounds. They also do not have garbage cans, so if you have a large family you better bring a Bear proof can. If you are a handicap hunter like me, It turned out to be a worthless 360 mile trip. The camp ground was just about empty. Disregard the phots of my quad and deer that they still picture. I will never darken their park again. Also it is now 15.00$ a night.

Clean, large campsites with firepits and picnic tables. Lots of wildlife. Friendly reaponsible campers all over. Noise was kept to minimum. Boat dock was clean and bathrooms were fine for pit toilets. Day area picnic area is all dirt and tables but great for day use. Entire lake was clean and beautiful. Bear proof trashcans provided to keep the beara out and the mess in. Staff was nice and helpful. A small emergency parkwide happened. The staff reaponded appropriately and kept campers informed until it ended. Pay by check or cash for campsites as of this review. Kayak and fisherman friendly.

This place is a hidden gem, so don't tell everybody! Not a bad campsite in the whole place and they are very spread out, so you don't even see your neighbors in some spots. There are also several right near the water and it is clean and gorgeous! Only cons to staying here are the yellowjackets. Thankfully we had a few traps to set up, but if we had not, we may not have stayed. They are really bad and if you have kids or dogs, keep an eye on them! We had to prepare some food inside the tents and even ate a couple of meals inside the tents or waited until the sun went down to cook because they are relentless. Also had to keep our tents and vehicles closed up at all times to keep them out. We wish someone would have told us about it so we could have prepared a little better, so here is your notice! Fishing in the lake is a bit strange, we caught a fish covered in some weird parasites or something, there were dozens and dozens on it, so decided we would let it go and just fished for fun after that. Overall a nice, quiet great place to camp and be unplugged for a few days.
