Nice campground, very quiet and tucked back. The staff were absolutely WONDERFUL. Truly the best staff we’ve had at any campground.

Easy to get to the National Park, clean bathrooms, small but complete park store. Will bring pizza to your rig The KOA has a very friendly and accommodating staff. The location is a good place to stay for seeing the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The staff was helpful with directions for both the north and south rim drives. Nicely located near the the South Rim.

Didn’t like location, condemned buildings, storage center and apartments neighborhood Prices didn’t reflect the closing for season of pool n hot tub Sites were tight, road around park narrow, n more full time residents than expected, not the norm koa we have seen.

They selected a site that was way too small for our RV, then due to the fences and landscaping tempers it was impossible to get into the site or exit. The front desk lady came over and apologized and suggested I circle the campground and drive through the site across from mine to get in without two sharp turns. So I did. We get set up, and then I start looking at how will I exit it was impossible without hitting something. We asked if the site we drove through was book, we could just back out they way we came in. She said no, and my wife went over to just pay for that site so it couldn’t be rented. All of a sudden now it had been rented and locked. This is just one of the many lies these people told us. We left. They were yelling at me all the way to gate.

Most of these reviews are not realistic. The tent sites are right next to each other with barely any privacy. No pretty views, just a small fence that is attempting to give you some privacy from the tent 8 ft away from you in the other site. There is a playground, which one tent site is basically inside of. The pool looks nice and the bathrooms + showers are clean and give this place at least some stars. You can hear the cars and road noise very loudly at the campsite. Also fireworks being set off randomly??

Very nice KOA! Staff were very friendly, sites were level and almost all are shaded. Close to Telluride and Ourway and of course the Black Canyon. Had a wonderful time. Montrose is a wonderful town to visit as well. Lots of things to do. Bathrooms are nice and clean, and pool is very nice as well. Will definitely stay here when in the area again.

Rented a cabin for few nights in February. Not crowded and great location in town. Nice staff and tidy pull through spaces for RV and trailer that we had. Nice playground and pool we have used the last time we came through in warmer weather

Good water pressure. Wi-Fi slows down as check ins trickle in. Some sites were better than others, size and level wise. I’ve stayed at worse KOAs definitely. Definitely book a little in advance.

Thank goodness this is not the first KOA we have stayed at, otherwise we would never have tried KOA again. We have stayed at KOA’s in Albuquerque (our favorite), New Orleans, Mitchell, SD, Sandusky, Ohio, Alamosa, CO & several others and have loved our stays, the staff and their amenities. This one is getting a poor rating for the following: 1) We never received a confirmation for our reservation. 2) They don’t answer their phone past 4:00 pm. The following morning when they finally returned our phone call (at 10:00 am), the woman had no clue what was going on, and didn’t even think we had a reservation, even tho we had a campsite assigned.😳 3) There was loose trash at our site when we arrived. Found a Taco Bell cup, straws, and used napkins. 4) The lighting outside the women’s bathroom was poor. 5) The gravel lots were uneven. 6) Our dogs found multiple discarded meat bones near their bbq tent site. 7) Not in a great part of town, locals hanging out & smoking at the laundromat which was only one block away, and No Secured Entry. Definitely do not recommend this one. 👎🏻👎🏻

Cabin beds weren't great but weren't horrible. Cabin did have an AC unit. The pool was the best pool I've been in in a long time. The water was a great temp. A hot tub was available. Bathrooms were clean. Not a lot of items in the store. Overall good visit and would recommend.
