Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The primary draw for visitors is the world-class fishing found on Lake Okeechobee, which is just minutes from the park. Anglers frequently visit the area to catch trophy-sized largemouth bass and crappie. For land-based recreation, the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail provides miles of paved and gravel paths perfect for cycling, hiking, and birdwatching. History enthusiasts can explore the local culture of Moore Haven, while nature lovers will appreciate the proximity to various wildlife management areas that showcase Florida's unique inland ecosystems.

The staff were great! Friendly upbeat people that were fun to hang out with during a halloween weekend. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience at this campground, and a big part of that was thanks to the incredible managers. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. You can tell they truly care about the campground and the guests—they were always available to answer questions, give directions, or just share a friendly smile. The facilities well-maintained, and everything ran smoothly, which is a testament to their hard work behind the scenes. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed for a great stay. Whether you’re a first-time camper or a seasoned RVer, you’re in great hands with these managers. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail make this campground stand out. Highly recommend!

Have to share our 4th of July experience this year, we were invited to spend our day in the park. Management provided a beautiful BBQ, we were invited to use the pool (which was beautiful) and all facilities. We played cornhole and listened to great music. We had a wonderful day and want to thank Terea, the new manager, for including us in the fun. The park is in need of some repair but she had made a huge difference in a short time! We will be back and know, given time and her energy, this park will be a very desirable destination soon! Good job to ALL who are making this RV park a true winner!!!!

Clean, well-kept campground with friendly staff. We liked that it is set in rural Florida amidst ranches and sugar cane farms, but only a half hour to groceries and shopping. No traffic issues. No crowds. Large sites. We'll be returning next winter from Michigan for our third year.

Owner obviously doesn't care about this location as the electric all over the park has major issues, tons of power outages since I've been here I've been here a yr now if I had a truck to move my camper I would have been gone. On site manager is rude and disrespectful always she can't even keep employees because she doesn't respect them. And doesn't really chip in on the work that truly needs to be done she makes employees sit on golf carts outside all day on their shifts it got up to 105 some days last summer and an employee passed away because he had over hydrated sitting in the heat R.I.P. Gary the best employee that worked here. I do not recommend anymore than a night or two here. Laundry machines a majority of them are broke down...its been a yr... no atm or debit card reader for the change machine so you have to drive 5-10 miles to pull out cash just to do your laundry. So much more to list but you get the point would rate 0 stars but not an option.

Owner don't allow dog fences, no screened tents. Have a couple of small dogs that help protect them if they sneak out when entering or leaving the motorhome. We like sitting outside with our dogs without out being bite by mosquitoes. There are too many rules for a KOA CG... Dollar General only stores with in 30-minute drive. The camp store only has a couple cans of pop or ice cream bars.

This campground was converted to a KOA in April of 2020. Although few upgrades have been made so far, many improvements are planned including upgrades to existing sites, Frisbee golf, etc. We were surprised how much vacancy there was during our Spring break stay. This modest campground has fantastic potential. The staff have been nothing but friendly and kind. If you want Wi-Fi at your campsite, there is a hefty charge per connected device and the speed is unimpressive. Fire ants were a recurring issue during our 4 night stay. The campground shares a fence with a cow pasture, but as there is a constant breeze from the East, we never noticed any unpleasant smells. We enjoyed watching the cows and visiting with the friendly donkeys. With a few upgrades, thus will be a fantastic family getaway.

Very nice property! Clean and Wendy provided the best check in experience. Will be returning here when passing through the area next time!

Very nice camground. In reference to the dirty toilet, how could someone leave it in such a mess!! Staff was notified and mess cleaned up. We have been coming to this park since 2016. Everyone very friendly. Love the people and the activities. Nearest big towns are 30 minutes away but Moore Haven only 8 minutes. Washers and dryers being replaced this year. As far as the canopies (sun shades) the winds can be very high and blow in without warning. Better not to have canopies that can blow over and cause damages to your and others RV. More improvements coming.

Worst camp site ever! The supposed lady named Wendy that is supposed to be the manger is the most rude person I have ever met since the fourth day into our stay she has been harassing me my husband and my 1 year old son! Wish I could give this place a zero star! Everyone else is so nice and friendly . I will be letting everyone in the lineman wife pages and the ones I travel with to never stay here. Wendy also harassed other linewives that were staying in this park
