This is a great campground. It is very well kept and clean. The sites are level. We were able to back our 36’ fifth wheel into site 203 without any problems because there was an open grassy area across from us. They had shuffle board and mini golf to play. The camp store is well stocked. We loved walking the dogs along the river at the back of the campground. It’s a great location to visit the Stowe area and Ben &Jerry’s.

Quiet, peaceful, clean, plenty of showers, and bathrooms. There is a nice pool and an entertainment center! Also an ATV trail! Great place to disappear to for a week or month lol 💞

So unfortunately my family hit some hard times and was displaced from our rental in the beginning of April 2025. I had made a post in a campground group trying to find a open campground as most did not open until the end of April or mid May. Donald the owners husband reached out and was beyond amazing with accommodating us before his official opening so we could put some mini campers from Boothbay VETS on a RV lot and have a place to regain stabilization to establish permanent housing again. He helped us in a huge time of need when he did not even have to help us. His rates are reasonable and more affordable than other campgrounds I had looked at. His seasonal rates are most def the best way to go. The bathrooms are always clean, the showers have good pressure. He allows fur babies as well. He drives around the campground multiple times per day just to monitor it. I have completely enjoyed being here the past almost month and am very pleased with my experience so far.

I would NOT recommend this place. This is late in writing a review, I only hope nothing has happened. The owner as of 3 summers ago is not to be alone with, always have 2 or more people with you. He has cameras in the pool area and I honestly question where else. He commented on what I had on for a swimsuit because it was a swimming sleeveless shirt. He started a loud confrontation with a quiet couple beside us. There was no need for what was said. This place could be so much more if it was professionally run. Now just to be clear this was about 3 years ago. The new owner then was the son-n-law to the long time owners.

We stopped for a night and had a wonderful stay. Don was so accommodating. Short walk to a lovely river and great scenery. Would recommend.

This was our 3rd year returning to Mountainview, this year as a seasonal! Such a beautiful area and so many trails to explore. It's a good campground to go adventure or just stay at camp and play some games, have a fire or go swimming in the pool. They have hot showers with good water pressure, bathrooms with running water, a laundry room and a hall for renting out that also has activities in it from time to time.

Well, as a guest for a week while visiting family . We experienced a campsite owner coming on our site and taking our wood without permission . He has his favorite that is wrong . There are so many rules that it makes the experience so un joy able. Also, the laundry room is very pricey, the $1 dollar 50 cent, and the dry is 1 dollar and 75 cents per load. Also I wad warned to let my husband handle the owner because he has a touchy feeling toward in the no no spots .

We are new to RV camping and chose this campground for its proximity to a construction project we had close by. We loved our full hook up site among other seasonal campers. Restrooms were clean. Showers were clean and free. Pool, laundry and arcade were bonuses. We made some good friends. People left their belongings outside with little fear of theft. Management checked the property several times a day.
