This was a very nice campground, close to Bar Harbor on a big hill, down by the water close to an airport big sites. Nice people clean campground easily accessible right off the main road. Plenty of space. Hot water have to say mount. Desert narrows, campground is a place I'll come back to. If I come back to Bar Harbor 5 stars

Lovely campground. Hot free showers. Laundry is affordable. Nice staff. By the water. Close to bar harbor. Last minute booking. Clean and comfy. We tent camped and had a wonderful stay. ❤️

I don't know how anyone could possibly give this campground a bad review! Our experience was absolutely amazing! Alex and Jewel were the best people you could have in any front office. When we arrived we were greeted with huge smiles and whenever we were in the office it was the same. Our arrival was smooth as they already had everything organized for our stay. We felt like they had been waiting for our visit and were excited to see us. The grounds were easy to maneuver around with our 30 ft travel trailer, and it was one of the cleanest parks we have been to. The laundry room was very clean and we had no trouble at all with the wifi. Our view from our site was not on the water but we could see the water and sunset and it was beautiful. We will definitely be back and we can't wait!!. Thank you Alex and Jewel for making this a great stop for us.

Loved this place. Perfect location only 2 miles onto the island. Great sites with water views including electric and water. No sewer on the water, but the dump station was very accessible. Awesome touch with welcome snacks in the office. Got kids? They’ve got a pool, basketball court and small playground.

The better sites don’t have sewer hookups. The section we stayed in had full hookups but also many seasonal campers. The site across from us had anywhere from seven to 11 kids playing on full screech all day and evening. Cute kids but not a quiet camping experience we usually enjoy at campgrounds. Also , the WiFi was non-existent. Would not book there again.

Nice campground in need of some upkeep. The grass is tall and the place looks overgrown. I don’t know if they’re trying to preserve the wild flowers or what, but the place would look a lot more appealing if the yards were kept neatly mowed. When we arrived, all the dumpsters were filled to overflowing, but they were dumped the next day. The people at the desk were super nice and accommodating. The views over the bay are pretty, at least when the tide is up. The pool is really shallow and closes earlier than any place I’ve been. The busses stop here regularly, so it’s really convenient if you want to go exploring. Over all, one of the better campgrounds in the area.

Great location, as they are located right on the water. Nice views. We asked and received confirmation that we were getting a full hook-up site, to be surprised at arrival that they only had a few full hook-ups, and we did not make the cut. We were there for 4 night, and arrived with full tanks. They did attempt to make it better by moving us near the water, however, those sites were also NOT full hook-up. You can't expect guests to unhook halfway through their stay, tow their RV to the dump station and then reconnect (we had to). Further.... There was some type of sewage work being done while we were there, and our site was downwind from this mess. For two days we had raw sewage smell permeating though the sites by the water. The staff was not helpful with any of the issues we brought to them. Mind you, they did smiled while telling us they had no help, and they did say "sorry". End of the day, they ruined what could have been a perfectly good vacation to Bar Harbor. Rest assure we will not be back (not that they care one bit). This is no way to run a "hospitality" business.

This is my opinion and should be taken as such. This was our first time staying here. The surrounding area was pretty stellar. Acadia, Bar Harbor and all the other touristy things to do. The campground was ok. The sites on the water have pretty great views, but they are tiny. Not really a lot of acreage. The campground itself seems to be in need of some attending to. The heated pool was pretty nice The staff was pleasant, the store was nice. I would probably visit elsewhere if we came back. Middle of the road campground.

We called them days leading up to our stay, every day. We wouldn’t get a call back until the next day. No one ever answered the phone. The sites were nice but close together. I think the sites here are hit or miss. Showers were hot except for the older ones (check shower head). People did tend to stay quiet come 10PM. Bathrooms were clean. Overall the campground is maintained.

We enjoyed our time at Mt Desert Narrows Campground. Our site was just across the street from the waterfront sites so we had great views. These sites seem to be a bit wider than some of the others. From reservation to check in, to our departure the staff were wonderful. It's obvious that they love and take pride in this campground. There is a food trailer that appears to stay there near the office and recreation building. The bath houses were very clean even at different times during our stay and with a lot of sites full and a large group of tent campers in a separate area. It was quiet and peaceful. Very convenient to many restaurants and lobster shacks. Acadia and Bar Harbor are just down the road. There are some local shops, gas stations and grocery stores nearby and Walmart and Home Depot are not too far away but far enough that you can easily forget about the bustle that comes with towns large enough to have those stores. We look forward to staying here again.
