New Green Acres RV Park

Overview

New Green Acres RV Park serves as a premier destination for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Known for its heavily wooded setting, the park offers a unique forest-like atmosphere that provides ample shade and privacy rarely found in typical roadside stops. It is often referred to as a hidden gem, consistently earning high ratings for its cleanliness and friendly management, making it a reliable staple for those navigating the Atlantic coast during long-distance trips.

Location & Surroundings

Conveniently located just off Interstate 95 at Exit 53, the park provides effortless access for large vehicles while remaining tucked away from heavy highway noise. The surrounding area of Walterboro, often called the Front Porch of the Lowcountry, is characterized by moss-draped oaks and a slow-paced lifestyle. This location serves as an ideal midpoint for those traveling between the Northeast and Florida, offering a natural buffer from the hustle of more urban coastal hubs and busy transit corridors.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is specifically designed to accommodate modern travelers with extra-long pull-through sites that can handle the largest rigs without unhooking. Each site features high-quality connections to ensure a comfortable stay. Key amenities include:

  • Full hookups with 50-amp electrical service and cable television.
  • A refreshing swimming pool and a dedicated pet area for four-legged travelers.
  • Clean laundry facilities and a large pavilion for group gatherings.

The entire park is blanketed with Wi-Fi, ensuring you stay connected while enjoying the quiet of the woods.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While the park is a destination in itself, the local Walterboro area offers charming excursions for those who want to explore. The Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit, featuring miles of boardwalks through hardwood swamps and diverse local ecosystems. History buffs will enjoy the South Carolina Artisans Center, which showcases local crafts and traditions. For those staying longer, the park provides a gateway to explore the historic downtown district, known for its collection of antique shops and classic Southern architecture.

Who This Park Is Best For

New Green Acres RV Park is perfect for big-rig owners and snowbirds who prioritize ease of access and spacious sites. It is an excellent choice for families traveling with pets who need room to walk under a lush canopy of trees. If you prefer a rustic, natural vibe over a concrete-heavy resort, this park fits your travel style perfectly. It is the quintessential stop for long-distance drivers needing a reliable, scenic rest before continuing their journey through the Southeast.

Have been traveling in our Class C motorhome since retiring. Hit the road May 1, have traveled 9000 miles, lots of Hotels and rv parks, pulled off the hwy and found this absolute gem, complex amazing, staff very kind and friendly, beautiful dog park and pool. Grounds immaculate. We are staying a month, so relaxing. Please, take my word, I highly recommend it, you will be very pleased, Best rv park, value in America

Nice park.. very large grassy spots, picnic table, dog park friendly staff, wifi was great, overall nice place bathrooms need updating. Noise from interstate is kind of loud, not so much inside. We would stay again

This was a great place to stop overnight on our way to Florida. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and nice, and the sites are nestled between rows of trees. Our site was relatively flat so we didn’t have to disconnect. The reason for only three stars is there is much of the Campground that is old and definitely in need of upgrading / refurbishing. Our electric box did not have a breaker and honestly looked in terrible condition. (I was glad that I had a surge protector!) However, I did not have any issues with the electric. The bathroom was also old and much in need of refurbishing. The dump station was so bad we had to use an empty campsite to dump. It had rained and the pipe at the regular dump site was literally at the bottom of a pond. Having said all that, we might stop there again as the price was reasonable ($35 for water/30amp) and it was literally right off the highway, so very convenient for a quick overnight.

Nice park with big sites. Quiet and close to the Interstate. A lot of tall trees. The downsides are that the power pedestal didn't have a breaker for the 50 amp plug, and poor Wi-Fi/AT&T cell/Starlink signals. This is the first park we have stayed in that we struggled with three types of internet providers. The dog park was clean and amply sized.

Not sure why anyone would leave a negative review, this is a great place for folks passing thru. Clean sites with full hookup for $44 a night is a sweet deal. This place is huge and sites are pull thru and can accommodate big rigs. Nice dog park that you can tell used to be a putt putt course ages ago. Booking was a breeze, i called 2 hours before arrival, paid when we got there, easiest check in ever, literally took 2 minutes. Very conveniently located right off the interstate and cracker barrel is across the street. What more can you ask for?

Do you have a place to start in South Carolina and stumbled upon this Campground . The lady in the office was very pleasant. The campground is very basic, but the sides are enormous. No problem with power, no problem with water, very quiet and peaceful underneath the pine trees. For $35 this is excellent for a day or two. Not too sure what else is around here to stay longer, but if you do, I think you’d be happy. Would give it a 5 if it wasn’t just a basic campground! Go ahead give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Great for an overnight stop from I95. Literally right off the highway though so very noisy. Still it's a beautiful tree covered grove with level pull through sites and spacious. There is some mud after it rains.

One of the best and most spacious RV parks to date. Love the pull throughs and the layout is awesome. We were so lucky to have stumbled across this jewel, we will be back... Highly recommend!!!
