This is one of my favorite campgrounds, especially in the off season. Intentionally they space you apart so you feel like you’ve got the land to yourself. The sunsets are indescribable!

North Point is a SD State park. You must purchase a SD parks pass to enter. Once in there are several boat ramps with alot of parking. If you are towing a boat behind a camper there is sufficient room at most of the ramps to drop your boat off while you setup camper.I stayed at the campground for 3 nights. It runs a little over $30 night these are electric only as are most in SD state parks. Sites are spaced far apart and it is mostly back in spots. The sites are gravel or cemented and pretty level. Each site has enough room for a boat and camper. There are several restroom shower buildings around the campgrounds that are kept very clean and well stocked. North Point is above the Damm and has good fishing. Also alot of trails and a rifle range. Is a terrific area.

Very nice campground and recreation area. Definitely a destination. Camp pads are level and spacious. There is a beach and swimming area, boat ramps and a marina. The facilities are well maintained and clean. It's a great place for family fun.

Our stay at the NPSRA was enjoyed fully. Stayed three days and two nights in early May and we're one of three campers at most over that time period. The recreation area was neat, very well kept and a joy to be at. I would imagine that it could get very busy during the summer months, but isn't that what these places are made to be?

Great recreational area, campground is beautiful. Had a spot right on the water, neat, clean, and level. Faces south, so always sunny. One issue is no protection from wind, which at times is strong 30+mph. Facing South sheltered our outdoor seating area as much as possible from direct wind but could hear the howling. Did get circled by a family of bald eagles frequently. Saw as many eagles as pheasants, which was a lot. All the roads were paved to get here, not the case with many of the others.
