First the positives-The park itself was quiet and away from town. There was a gas station nearby which made it easy to fill-up after a long day on the trails. Negatives-the Lodge was outdated and not at all comfortable. The “backyard” along with the grilling area needed attention. The grill was nasty so we opted not to use it. The shower handle came off our second day there. Maintenance came in the next day to fix it but left a mess in the shower. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was a very thin mattress. It rained our last day there and water was coming in through the air conditioning vent and dripping onto the carpet. We had to put the trashcan underneath so it could catch the water. When I called about it, the person who answered said they knew about the problem. They hadn’t had time to fix it. Only one window had a screen in it so we couldn’t take advantage of the fresh air. The Lodge had a smell about it and fresh air would have been nice.

Excellent location right near the national parks. This RV park is clean, spacious and offers a great view of Moab. There are fire pits, grills and picnic tables on site. If you don’t have an RV there are several glamping tents you can rent. The check in process was super easy and the office is filled with souvenirs, snacks, etc. This park has full hooks up. We would happily stay here again.

UPDATE: After speaking with a manager I was able to rebook my stay. They did agree to allow me to stay for the same price and not charge more. I appreciated that. Although I was sad that I had to leave a bad review to get anyone to listen to me. Upon arrival the place was really nice and did have nice amenities. The customer service efforts at the park were above average with games to play, bathroom amenities, grills and BBQs to cook on and a nice common place. - - - I scheduled a RV site and do to some unforeseen circumstances I needed to cancel it. I called with over 2+ weeks before I was scheduled to arrive and told they do not do refunds, but I would have 6 months to reschedule with the credit. Then when I called back to schedule a new trip just 4 weeks from the date I was going to originally stay the price had almost doubled! I couldn't afford to stay then - and they still wouldn't give me a refund. I was told they will discuss with the manager and she MIGHT approve a refund if I forfeit 20% of my money. Needless to say I was frustrated!

This was a great place to call home base while exploring all Moab has to offer. We stayed in a safari tent and it was very well equipped and comfortable. The bed and shower were great! The staff were super friendly and helpful during our stay. We also did some laundry which was nice. Being a little further out of town made it very quiet and dark for star gazing. Would definitely stay here again!

Big rig alley is basically a gravel lot. Our picnic table was not suitable for adults, very low to the ground. Perfect if you had kids. Did have a fire pit. The front desk staff was not very helpful or friendly. I suppose they did they job but they didn't seem to enjoy it. Laundry room had some machine out of order. Customer service is highly important to me so therefore they recieved a 2 star rating.

Nice spot to camp and hang out. Far enough from the highway that the traffic is quiet. Birds woke us up in the morning.
