Its a very peaceful, scenic campsite with large camping spaces so you are not on top of your neighbors. You can request to be at one of the front sites to get the best view of the "colington creek".

Clean and well maintained, family friendly campground. All sites are full hook-up. Bath house is clean as well. Many sites have a beautiful water view. Huge grassy areas and a small pier. Almost guaranteed to see deer at night. Campground is generally quiet and sites aren't crammed together. Lots of Outer Banks things to do just a short drive down the road.

So nice! Great spacious sites. Clean and friendly. Very peaceful. Just needs a pool... because of the jellyfish on the beach.

One of the nicest campgrounds we have visited. Beautiful location. Sites are a great size and a good number have some views of the water. About a 5 minute drive from the Wright Brothers Memorial. Definitely will return for another visit to this campground and loved the area. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a water view site that was amazing. Above average Flat and level gravel pads on larger than average sites. Good dog walking. Saw deer almost every night. Fantastic location.

Great place. Not many trees over most sites if that’s important to you. Sites were very spacious with lots of room behind most all sites. Staff was very friendly. Not a huge place. Probably difficult to get into in the summer. Close to lots of stuff and restaurants in Kitty Hawk/ Nags Head. I would totally stay here again. Full hookups. Didn’t use the showers but I did look at them. Very clean and perfectly decent. We were on site 12. Backed up to the water. Price was half off in the off season with only around five campers in the whole park. Site was pretty level. Actually saw an alligator in the water! Cool. Go to Mama Kwans and eat fish tacos. The best!

I agree with others that the bath house should be open…yes, we are in a pandemic but we are rather confident that conventional single bathrooms are low risk. This quiet campground will soon be discovered as a hot spot so book your stay while you can. We had the best neighbors and the location is amazing.

This place was amazing. Quiet, conveniently located to shopping, beach and restaurants. We enjoyed being outside eating at the picnic table enjoying our morning coffee. Plus around the corner was Billy's Seafood And Groceries I encourage everyone to go visit. She is the owner to OBX and such a nice lady with alot of knowledge. Plus great seafood you can cook on the grill or have it steamed right there. ✅

Enjoyed our stay. One of the largest sites we had in our 20 years of camping. Five minutes to the beach.
