Gorgeous and quiet here in the fall & winter- no one here: one of my favorite places to hike and (fish). Parking fee is $20. Oh and if you’re loud and want to party, don’t come here please, good people want to keep this lake quiet and clean: the losers who leave bad reviews - stay away!

Best camp ground in Nevada city area. This is close by Rollins Lake and has one of the best lake-side access to enjoy swimming, boating, and kayaking.

The front office lady was a complete disaster she cussed us out and told us to go back we had 4 cars ready to spend the day there. Do not recommend this place.

Robert was awesome, dry kind, helpful and friendly especially considering it seemed he had little help it regardless he was very upbeat and attentive. For whatever reason the campers that rented the same spots we had were told they could arrive and setup before our checkout time. We compromised and made room for them and their rv which wasn't easy considering we were in the middle of celebrating a 4 yr old's birthday so we had stop the party to deal with the double booking issue. Thank you Robert for helping mediate and for being there immediately to help. Great location and a lot of fun for the littles.

This park is poorly run and sadly neglected. The beach was unusable due to excessive debris and liter. They were not ready for guests this Memorial Day weekend. The staff is threatening and aggressively rude. I do not feel safe at this park. :(

came here when everyone else left, completely empty, felt private 👍, DONT USE THE BATHROOM WITHOUT A LOCK ON IT that bathroom has many roaches 🪳 , but the one with a key in it, USE THAT ONE , that bathroom is very clean, please follow the rules to keep the bathroom clean. bc if u dont, it wont be a nice bathroom anymore. we also saw a cute little gray fox! he was very chill and didnt bother us at all! and the water is amazing! in the middle of the day the water may be cold at first but literally after not even a minute, it is the nicest water ever! last time me and my family went here but the private cove, that was so much funner, bc it was a cove and wasnt steep to go down to the water, but last time there was ALOT of bees 🐝. 10/10 would go here again.

Orchard springs has been declining lately. Unfortunately their security quit so if you camp NO ONE RESPECTS QUIET TIME. So they party with their loud music and yell all night long. Yes the workers ( seems like one a few work there) do their best to still run around and gather trash and clean the bathrooms. Their store was open very few items in the store and no their hours posted isn't correct they say open till 6, I went at 430 and they were closed. Hopefully next year will be a better summer for them.

This was BY FAR the best place to swim at Rollins Lake! Super accessible. No quick sand-mud while getting in the lake. Kid friendly swimming and easy paddle boarding. Boat docking was closed this weekend, fyi. Additionally, we stayed at the Peninsula campsite, but swimming in the lake was near impossible there. Orchard Springs accepted our campsite parking pass, so we DID NOT have to pay $18/car to park/swim. BONUS: There's a shaved ice stand, a hit with the kiddos!

I was unhappy to find out after I made my reservation that the lake was low due to work on the dam. And while there the noise ordinance was not followed. Both nights we were there we were unable to get any sleep due to people up partying until 3 or 4 in the morning. The shower near our camp site only had 1 working stall. Other than these few things we has a great time.
