Great place to camper. Derby is further out but, it does not take long to get in the campground and start having fun! The campsites are large enough for a tent and a camper or two small campers. Derby is one of the better camping areas because, you aren't stacked right on top of one another and the sites are in good shape. Also, in my opinion in the fall, this is one of the prettier campsites on Lake Ouachita.

Lake Ouachita is awesome, but this is not one of the best campgrounds. The facilities are run down and dated. They were not well cleaned. Most of the sites don't have good water access. The camp host was not on site for the entire 5 day trip.

We had a group campsite and it was wonderful! I would highly recommend! Plenty of space, privacy and nature!

This place was great! No bugs or critters. We will be back, the showers were so clean and hot. The light on the Bathroom building is very very bright at night. The campsite was clean and comfy. Those crows were a hoot and a half by sites 50+ The crystal hunting nearby was great, the lake is gorgeous. Thank you for a great weekend

I absolutely love this place; it's my favorite place to go to get away and be in nature again. Plenty of space between campsites, electrical hookups, running water, and restrooms with showers; everything you could need for a campground! Definitely can't beat the views of Lake Ouachita either. I wish I could live here for the rest of my days.

Beautiful state park. Took a chance, and it did not disappoint. Unbelievable sunsets right out our front window. Roads were a little narrow with frost heaves, but we had no problem with our 38' diesel pusher hauling a 16' flatbed with our SUV on it. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful scenery in a nice escape from the everyday hustle or society. The restrooms are clean with faucets to brush your teeth with, and the showers in the other restrooms were clean. Hot Springs is the nearby big city. Approximately about 1 hr drive.

Beautiful park, nice bath houses and plenty of hot water. We had a waterfront site and had a lot of wind which we didn't see in other areas of the park. There is a firewood guy 2ho comes through the park regularly with a variety of wood which he will sell in any quantity. Some interesting hiking trails, and don't miss the pies at the cafe at the resort next door. We will definitely be back.
