Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA Journey

Welcome to the Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA!

After a day of driving, you'll find this KOA along US 231 a welcoming oasis. Large, flat Pull-Thru RV Sites make it easy to get settled with even the biggest rigs. All come with FHU 50/30-amp service, 72 cable channels and Wi-Fi. Or stay in a beautiful two-bedroom bungalow with 1-1/2 baths (daily/weekly rentals). Enjoy a dip in the pool, or stretch your legs with a stroll along the koi pond, waterfall and gardens. Kids can expend energy in the playground while canine companions run freely in the fenced pet area. The well-stocked store offers RV supplies. The 1,200-square-foot clubhouse/game room has seating for 50, a full kitchen and a covered outdoor patio. It's a great gathering spot for clubs and social events. Open all year, except New Year's Eve/Day, Easter, July Fourth, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve/Day. Pool: Open all year. Max pull thru: 70 feet. Your host: Lori Hemmis.

RV sites very clean, well kept. Only drawback is location-right on US 231 main highway. Moderate road/traffic noise. Would stay again even considering road noise.

Nice clean campground with friendly people. Good laundry and pool areas. Enjoyed the big pond and koi pond. Very relaxing. Huge dog park with large trees.

Nice little koa. A little off beaten path but dollar general is a block away. Cabin was nicely appointed and clean. Grounds are nice n neat. Store didn't have much of anything useful foodwise. Didn't look for firewood so not sure if they supply.

We just checked out today and honestly there’s not enough words to describe how phenomenal this campground is. They were extremely accommodating with some issues we were having with our 5th wheel and made you feel like family the minute you pulled in! The grounds are beautiful and quiet but nothing in comparison to how great the staff is. Jeff and the young lady up front have the best customer service and really just make the place great. We will absolutely be back.

We lived here for the last 18 months while my husband was in flight school and it was the best decision we've ever made. This is a great place to stay for short or long term! The location was awesome, easy to get to base without being in the busier areas but Ozark still had plenty to do around the area! Tony, the guy who runs the campgrounds gets 10/10. He is the absolute best and we will miss him greatly!

The sites are well maintained, large patio to stay hooked to vehicle, but more importantly the owner is kind, polite and provided excellent customer service at check-in!

We were there as a halfway point on our way to Florida Keys. We came in late, and they had welcome bags waiting for us at the bear out front! We left early the next morning and wished we could stay. Nice little campground!

Water pressure is 95, so it was not worth the risk to hook up to it, even with a regulator. The spots are level. Staff is friendly.

We booked this as an overnight as we were traveling and just wanted the comfort of a KOA with full hookups and a pull through to make things easy, in case we didn't want to unhitch. We arrived on a Sunday at 12:30 to find we couldn't check in until 1pm even though the email we received the day before from them said checkin started at 12pm so that wasn't great. I called the manager and he checked us into our pull through site over the phone and was apologetic and nice and said they knew the time was wrong and didn't know why it hadn't been changed. When we pulled into our site however it was disappointing as the site wasn't long enough and we did have to unhitch. (See picture) When you get a pull through the expectation is that you won't have to unhitch if you don't want to. The employee who did show up just after 1pm did offer for us to park in the site right next to ours and apologized for not being there sooner. When we hooked up our water the pressure was really high so be aware. When I went to get our park map that we didn't get when we checked in, the employee warned us about the high water pressure which was a little too late, luckily we have a pressure regulator. To their credit, even though it's clearly an older KOA, it is very pretty and looks well maintained and our dog loved the dog park, bring your own water for Fido. Just don't checkin on a Sunday and your experience would probably be ok.

Extremely close to others. Would not be all toextend awning. One way road with rigs parked in opposite directions.. would get stuck on narrow road having to go opposite direction.
