At Paradise Lake and Campground the man who handled our last-minute, same-day check-in was pleasant and accommodating. The campground itself offers full RV hookups, a shower house, a seasonal swimming pool, laundry room and a playground for kids with slides. We slept fairly well, as it was quiet, except for some dogs that were left out to bark for hours.

I had a flat tire and fortunately I pulled over right into this place! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating! One of them even paid for my son to play the video games while we waited for my husband to get there. It made a frustrating event into a little adventure for him! Though I don't like that I'm now short a tire, I am very thankful that we ended up where we did.

Great campground, quiet at night and extremely helpful staff. Beautiful lake with a great walking trail around it. Nice pool and game room. Note: I have a small camper(13') no problem getting anywhere. My friend has a 39' and recommend trying to pick sites 16 to 20, i think thats the last spot in that row, if yours is that large. There may be other compatible sites for large campers. Give them a call they are very helpful.

Excellent location to bring the family. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean campgrounds and well kept. The lake is clean and full of good size bass. Easy access to the lake with your kayak or canoe. We stayed in lot 44 this past weekend and had a great time. We were able to tie our canoe off at the boat dock and had easy access to fish all weekend. I would highly recommend this off the beaten path camping facility.

Exceeded expectations. Had a one night stay on our West coast to East coast move. They were sweet when we called to reserve a site and when we showed up late (10pm) we were still greeted by someone and they immediately showed us to our spot. We were up on the top (site 16), it was okay, perfect for a single night. But the sites around the lake were absolutely gorgeous, definitely a place you could stay for a few days or more. My only complaint was that the water hook ups were a little murky, but we have a filter so it wasn't too big of an issue. The bathrooms and laundry were clean, except for a few mosquitoe larvae, but that's to be expected in Virginia even in March. And when a storm came in and delayed our leaving, they were understanding of our late check-out and sweet as pie. We'll definitely be coming back!!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Paradise Lake is now our favorite campground. We were here for a while. We loved the trail around the lake and the mostly quiet campground. It was great to see work going on daily around the campground. We hope to visit again someday!

Awesome experience here. Well managed, clean facilities, peaceful setting. Will return for a less busy weekend to enjoy the lake and small restaurant. Quality hook ups, highly recommend a water filter but to be expected in this natural of a setting.
