Very nice campground, it’s huge, so much to do we visited on an off weekend to see our son play at Hampden Sydney college which was only 40 minutes away. The Italian resturant down the street is delicious. But this park is awesome nice pool, swimming and fishing lake. Nice little trail to use and a huge field nice pull thru sites, this place is big rig friendly as well have an F450 and a Momentum tri axel trailer and we moved around this park easy! Great place we recommend

Got there 30m before office closed…AND ITS closed! Called, no answer “leave a msg” No one to let us in, finally another camper came with a card to open the gate. Brown water, strongly chlorinated, no shade, busy noisy street. We will NEVER go here again and recommend you find another place. Wifi doesn’t work (asked another camper for the code) because the office was CLOSED. Also had to ask about bathrooms and showers. Ridiculous service, really NO customer service. VERY PISSED OFF CUSTOMER

Great place! Convenient location to Appomattox and Lynchburg. We camped in May for our grandson’s graduation at Liberty University. The campground is clean and well kept. The ladies in the office were so pleasant and accommodating. On our second day camping our son was admitted to the hospital with a life threatening condition. We were scheduled to check out on Sunday, but we were able to extend our stay for several more days until he was discharged from the hospital. We were so thankful for their concern and cooperation. Besides all of that, our view of the lake was so relaxing. It was a little too chilly to swim, but the beach & the pool were available. We will definitely camp there in the future because our other grandson will be starting his freshman year at Liberty in a couple of weeks. I highly recommend Paradise Lake Family Campground.

We spent two years visiting Paradise Lake in our RV from 2022-2024. The actual park was under construction some part of this time. Overall it was a quiet secluded location. They had a large turnover of employees that reflected the sentiments of ownership. Overall, it was a pleasant stay until they changed our status. They asked us if we could leave earlier than expected ( one week). We stated it was possible. Then they decided since we agreed, they'd charge us daily rates instead of keeping with the long term stay contract rates agreed to. When the owners were confronted asking why they would do this when they initiated the conversation and request to leave, they only retorted " this is how we do business". If we were not willing to pay the daily rates we were to leave immediately. Thus we did.

My fiancé and I had a 2day tent reservation here the past weekend and we loved our stay. When booking we thought it was just a regular camp ground with nothing. They had a Game room , pool , lake , kayak rentals for $3 , a store and so much more. We enjoyed every amenity they had to offer. It was a peaceful and a fun getaway. No complaints. We will be coming back this summer for 4 days.

This is a great campground. A lot of on site amenities for you and the kids to keep you entertained. We have spent a few months here in total and will always come back. Sites are level(ish) but nothing that can't be overcome with a few blocks. They are always making improvements to the area and the staff s absolutley fantastic. They offer on site propane refills during the week. The only downside is the water pressure can be low at times but hey, that's why we have a fresh water tank and onboard water pump, right? Take some time while here to visit historic Appomattox and the surrounding area.

3 stars because the staff are lovely. Rough road to get in. 2 rigs could not pass. No cell. But it was the water at site. Dribbled out the tap. Sometimes fine, then nothing. It's April 3 hardly anyone at the camp site. Maybe good for smaller TT

Very kind folks checking in, and a nice, quiet stay! Spots are close together, but it was still very peaceful. My dog and I enjoyed walking around lake path, and it was well-worth the extra $3 to get a spot with septic so I didn't have to dump my tanks after packing up on my way out. They do have a very large shop area and not much merchandise. I'd love to help remedy that with some of my home-made soaps and candles!

Paradise Lake is definitely a GPS destination. This family campground is very nice, clean, well managed and offers families a variety of activities. They have full hookup sites to tent sites. The offer seasonal, weekly, monthly or just a night stay. The lake offers paddle boats & lil fishing boats to rent. They also have a slide that looks like you'll go flying into the water making a huge splash! They also have nice showers and bathrooms plus laundry and a recreational room. I have to mention the cute country store that offers affordable items that you may have forgotten or perhaps you need a snack. The huge deck is a good place to relax and look over the lake. Put this Family Campground on your GPS. They have fair rules to keep everyone safe with full disclosure. Follow the rules and you'll have a fun filled vacation away from it all and probably meet new friends on the way. ENJOY!!
