Parkway RV Campground
Overview
Parkway RV Campground serves as a welcoming basecamp for travelers exploring the historic town of Cody and the vast landscapes of Wyoming. This family-owned facility offers a quiet atmosphere away from the busiest downtown corridors while maintaining easy access to local services. It is designed for those who appreciate a straightforward, well-maintained site where the natural beauty of the surrounding peaks takes center stage during the morning and evening hours.
Location & Surroundings
Situated just a short drive from the heart of town, the park provides a classic high-desert setting with wide-open views of the Shoshone National Forest foothills. Its position makes it an ideal staging point for the scenic drive toward the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Travelers will find themselves surrounded by the rugged charm of the West, with easy access to the Shoshone River and local supply stores for stocking up before a day of exploration.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is equipped with essential features to support long-haul travelers and weekend visitors alike. Most sites are level gravel pads offering full hookups with 30 and 50-amp electrical service. Convenience is prioritized through the inclusion of a laundry facility and reliable on-site Wi-Fi to keep guests connected. Many sites are designed as spacious pull-throughs, which makes navigating the grounds easy even for those driving large motorhomes or fifth wheels.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Staying here places you minutes from the world-renowned Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a complex of five museums dedicated to the history of the American West. Every summer evening, the Cody Night Rodeo offers a taste of local culture just a short drive away. For nature enthusiasts, the drive to Yellowstone National Park is a highlight, featuring dramatic rock formations and frequent wildlife sightings. You can also explore Old Trail Town to see authentic 1800s frontier buildings.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is ideal for Yellowstone-bound travelers who want to avoid the crowds inside the park while staying close to Cody’s amenities. It appeals most to self-contained RVers and big-rig owners who value easy access and a quiet night's sleep over resort-style water parks. If you are looking for a clean, reliable, and friendly place to park while checking off your Wyoming bucket list, this is an excellent choice for your itinerary.

Conveniently just at the edge of Cody off W. Yellowstone Ave and just across from Walmart. Nice restrooms, a laundry area and a mix of permanent and passing through campers. Quiet spots, but quite close together. Power, water and waste at each site. We visited off season and it still was quite full. If you use the men’s restroom, it is not heated.

Dora and I have enjoyed our stay at Parkway RV Campground. The owner and staff are very nice people. Showers and bathrooms are very clean and in good condition. Laundry room and equipment are available 24 hrs. We recommend this place and the price is very reasonable. Thanks

Awesome price, solid wifi, and a convenience store within walking distance. Perfect for overnight stays. Cash or check only though.

Great small campground close to everything. Cody is a wonderful town and the drive to Yellowstone East entrance was magical. We spent four nights here and when we checked in, they moved us to a larger pull through so we didn't have to detach our trailer. The grounds are well kept and everyone was super friendly! We highly recommend staying here and if you do, go into Yellowstone via the East Entrance and then depart from the North East Entrance and travel back down to Cody in a large loop. You will not be disappointed. The bison roam in Lamar Valley and were amazing. Thanks for a great stay!

It's not fancy and yes there are full timers, but the sites are level, the hookups are good, the bathrooms are older but very clean, and the laundry is reasonably priced with machines that work (unlike the last RV park we stayed in). We will stay here again when in the area. As another plus, at the office you can get answers to your questions about the local area from smiling, friendly faces.

I saw a review that said there are broken down trailers living here. They are not broken down 🤣 there are trailer homes and 5 wheels and such that live here but they aren’t broken down idk what they are talking about 🤣 and then there are trailers that also visit. Just cause some people live in a trailer instead of vacation in them doesn’t mean they are broken down lol. Don’t let her comment scare you. This place is a wonderful place to live and/or just stay for a couple nights.

Great for a night or so ... broken down trailers living there ... no views or ambiance ... good laundry room

Very friendly environment and more space between RVs than most campgrounds.

Won't answer the phone, I'm guessing they don't like business or cash. It's a shame that today's society is against capitalism. I'm guessing the owner is from California. Maybe one day they will care about people around them? I'm guessing not considering the atmosphere there.
