Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort

Overview

Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort stands as a premier destination for Class A motorcoach enthusiasts seeking a refined experience in Southwest Florida. Spanning over 100 acres of lush, tropical landscape, the resort centers around a stunning 35-acre man-made lake. This gated community offers a sense of exclusivity and tranquility, where meticulously maintained sites provide a private sanctuary for travelers. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, designed to cater to those who appreciate high-end facilities and a quiet, scenic environment for their seasonal or short-term stays.

Location & Surroundings

Ideally situated in the coastal reaches of Naples, the resort provides a perfect balance between nature and urban convenience. The property is located just a short drive from the pristine beaches of Marco Island and the upscale shopping districts of downtown Naples. Surrounded by preserved wetlands and palm-lined boulevards, the location offers a distinctly Floridian backdrop. The proximity to the Gulf of Mexico ensures mild winters and refreshing sea breezes, making it a sought-after retreat for those escaping colder northern climates in their luxury motorhomes.

Amenities & Park Features

The heart of the resort is the expansive 8,000-square-foot clubhouse, which serves as a hub for social activities and relaxation. Guests enjoy access to a heated swimming pool and whirlpool spa, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. For active residents, the resort features professional-grade tennis and pickleball courts, along with a modern fitness center. Many of the individual lots include custom-built coach houses, which add a unique residential feel to the motorcoach lifestyle. Dedicated dog parks and walking paths ensure that every member of the family enjoys the stay.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the gates, the local area is rich with recreation and culture. Visitors can spend the day exploring the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve or take a short trip to the world-renowned Everglades National Park for airboat tours and wildlife viewing. For a more cosmopolitan experience, Fifth Avenue South in Naples offers fine dining and boutique shopping. Golfers will find themselves in a paradise of championship golf courses, while water enthusiasts can easily access boat charters and fishing excursions from nearby marinas.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is specifically tailored for Class A motorcoach owners who prioritize luxury and community. It is an ideal match for retirees or seasonal travelers looking for a high-standard atmosphere rather than a traditional campground. Those who value privacy, security, and meticulously manicured surroundings will feel right at home. It is best suited for individuals who enjoy a slower pace of life, social engagement with fellow RVers, and proximity to Florida’s most upscale coastal amenities and natural wonders.

Nice size lots, very clean, pricey just for a lot. We stayed on one that had outdoor kitchen chairs, etc. We didn't have access to use. In other resorts we have stayed, we were able to use.

These people will not refund your money according to their agreement if you cancel your reservation. They sent us a confirmation of refund and it has never been refunded nor is Pelican Lakes willing to solve the problem…..I would give them a zero if it was allowed

We stayed at this resort several years ago and decided we would stop again this year for a few days. The resort itself is beautiful however the rental office has much to be desired. We had to cancel our reservation and called several months in advance. Some of the other resorts we had made reservations at for this same trip refunded 100% of our deposit however Pelican Lake kept 50%. We called in the cancellation 3-months ago and finally had to file a dispute with our credit card company due to no refund ever coming through to our card. We have been in constant contact with the office but keep getting told they issued the credit on their end. Our bank checked and no credit ever came though so where did it go? Why do some resorts feel they need to keep so much of your deposit while others gladly refund 100%? We always try to make and if necessary cancel any reservations far in advance so it does not disrupt the resort itself. We are now looking very closely at deposit amounts and cancellation policies when deciding where to stay on our trips.

I will say the lots are beautiful however we have been very disappointed with our stay. For the amount of money we paid compared to other RV resorts we could have chosen to stay at we have very disappointed because the pool and spa have been closed the entire time we have been here with no date in sight. The amenities were the reason we chose to stay here. We were not informed at the time of booking this was going to be happening. Nor were we told two weeks prior to arrival when we had to pay the final thousands they charge when the amenities are not available. I did not receive notification about the closure until the day after I paid them. Which I find incredibly bad business. It essentially has ruined our entire time here in Naples.

The landscaping at each lot is beautiful and fully grown for privacy and nice sized lots for plenty of room outside. That’s about where the positives stop. The pool was under construction the entire two weeks we were there and no end date in sight. We were told by people there who own that it was supposed to be done in November and per staff they aren’t supposed to give any inclinations on the end date. So no pool and constant construction traffic from people working on it. The guard at the gate picked and chose who he let enter and wouldn’t allow our refrigerator repairman in which led us to have to reschedule our appointment for an entire week and a half later. Then, 4 days before we were to leave, management contacted my husband and told him the owners of our site had arrived and wanted us to move. We asked where on their website it mentions this is a possibility of happening as we wouldn’t have booked if we’d known. They said lots of your choice are never a guarantee and it says that on their website. That is a bit different than moving in the middle of your stay. They expected us to pack up everything on our site, with two kids and a dog and move across the lake four days before our checkout. Yes, the grounds are beautiful but management was far from helpful and the possibility of having to move in the middle of our stay makes this place not returnable for us. Two stars for views and landscaping, 0 stars for management.

Stayed two weeks at this resort and was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in our 45’ coach. The facilities are top notch, employees very friendly, and the location is perfect. The sites are very well kept and are large with many to choose if looking to rent. My kids had a blast fishing in the stocked lake! We are keeping an eye on the lots as we have decided to purchase one when the right one comes available. Definitely worth a visit if your trying to decide on staying here.
