Our family stayed at The Pines recently and the experience was one of the best we’ve had on a vacation. The cabin was well-appointed and very clean. You can tell they take pride in making sure guests are happy and comfortable. We had everything we needed when it came to amenities and comfort. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel like VIPs with how they treated our family. The location was amazing and having easy access to the waterfront and boat rentals made our stay that much better. Renting a pontoon let us explore Lake Kabetogama and the areas of Voyageurs NP that we’d otherwise not be able to get to. The icing on the cake is the northern lights we got to see over the lake. I highly recommend staying at The Pines and look forward to a return trip!

We stayed up on top of the cliff at site #8 in our travel trailer the site was awesome plenty of space and the views were breathtaking!! We stayed a total of 5 nights enjoyed a golf cart rental and then rented a pontoon boat and spent a day on the amazing Kabetogama Lake and traveled the amazing Voyagers National Park. This is a very very nice resort. The owners are so nice and involved in their business! We took a full day cruise tour with Jason (one of the owners). It was fun and informative. We had many stops along the way and a great lunch. Our parking spot for our motor coach was on the cliff top with an incredible view. We would definitely stay here again but longer next time!

My husband and I just got home from a getaway from the Pines and there are not enough good things we can say about this place. We stayed in the glamper unit on the hill and the view was beautiful. The RV was had up to date amenities and everything we needed to be comfortable. It's close to more than a few trails that are easy peasy to challenging. We enjoyed the scenery of those adventures while also taking the kayaks and venturing out towards a couple of the nearby islands on Lake Kab. Jason was welcoming, kind and gave us lots of great information to go exploring. And while we didn't use their boats this time, there were plenty to rent during our stay if we wanted to venture out with one, or take a water taxi or go on a boat tour. Everyone we encountered was so kind and smiley! We could tell the staff really loved the environment and where they worked. It was the perfect getaway for 2 (a first in a while since we've had our kids almost 10 years ago!). We appreciated the wonderful hospitality and felt grateful that we picked such an amazing place to spend time together. We love the memories we were able to make there while reconnecting. We are excited to venture back out in the future!

We had a fantastic time staying at this charming, family-run camping resort! The entire experience felt warm, welcoming, and well taken care of. One of the absolute highlights of our trip was the 7-hour boat tour around Voyageurs National Park. It was an incredible way to see the area—breathtaking views, peaceful waters, and a real sense of adventure. Our campsite had a beautiful view and was impressively clean, which made settling in and relaxing easy. The common area near the boating docks was one of our favorite spots to unwind. Sitting in Adirondack chairs, watching the boats come and go, and just soaking in the calm atmosphere was so enjoyable. There were plenty of activities available too. A volleyball net and various games added a nice touch for families or anyone looking to stay active. Our dog especially loved it here—he couldn’t get enough of swimming off the small beach area! Overall, this was a peaceful, scenic, and fun getaway. We appreciated the hospitality and the effort the owners clearly put into making this a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Pine Kab felt like a home from the jump. Jason was one of the friendliest, most joyous, and helpful people I’ve met (ever). The location is perfect. The sites and sights are beautiful. It was so easy to enjoy Voyageurs for all it had to offer because of the resort and Jason. I plan to hit all National Parks in America over my life, but I wouldn’t mind coming back to enjoy this little slice of heaven.

We stayed at the Pines of Kabetogama in September, 2024. The location is absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only problem we experienced was after our departure, we were charged a fee for a back flow device was supposed to be wired to our site water faucet. When I saw the charge on our credit card, I called the resort and was told they use a checklist to make sure things are left in good condition and that we must have unscrewed our hose with their device still connected The problem is, we didn’t take the device or even see it wired to the faucet upon our arrival. I’m guessing another guest must have “borrowed “ it before our arrival. So, make sure the back flow device is present on your site’s faucet when you arrive and then have management confirm its presence before you leave! Other than this one hiccup, we would love to stay there again!

We used this as our base to visit Voyageurs National Park. It was a great location, with one of the visitor centers only a mile away. We stayed on site Lake 01, one of a row of sites at lake level. There is another section up on a hill. Our site was FHU - 50/30/20, Water, Sewer. We were able (just barely) to level our 36' gas class A with just the levelers. Site is just barely long enough for the coach. We had to park the toad across the lane as there was no room on the site. Our site was right at the front entrance to the campground, so we got to hear the crunching of the gravel road as vehicles came in and out both to this campground as well as the one right next to it. But, there is no RV on the door side of the coach, there is reasonable spacing on the other side, and there is not a whole lot of traffic in or out. The lake sits at the other side of the campground, and it is a reasonably short walk. The campground has a nice dock on the lake, and a very small sand beach. No Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T cell coverage. The campground does provide Wi-Fi, which was fine for email and browsing, as well as WiFi calling. The campground works hard to make this a dark skies park and they succeed. The night skies were breathtaking, especially in the upper section of the campground which was just a short, though steep, walk from our site. Big rig friendly, as are the owners and the staff. Clean restrooms and laundry area, though the washers and dryers are pricey. We checked out a number of the other campgrounds in the area, and this was by far the nicest. Would stay again if in the area. Tips: The boat tour by the National Park Service was wonderful. Book early, as they tend to sell out during the prime season.

Amazing campground! We decided to get away for our anniversary and picked the Pines, what a beautiful location! We did splurge and get the campsite at the top of the cliff overlooking the lake and what amazing views! We walked around the campground and most sites on the cliff have a great view no matter where you look. We went into international Falls and also did some hiking. Oh, and did I mention the northern lights? What a great show! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful at the Pines. Definitely will be back for this one! We highly recommend it!

So we took a RV and stayed at this beautiful resort! They have several options of campsites to pick from even one way up on the bluff with amazing views! We rented a pontoon for the day, and it was really a lot of fun. They're pontoons are very new and have great GPS systems to find everything on the lake. We went last month in August and saw some beautiful amazing Northern lights! It's so quiet and peaceful there I would highly recommend this campground.
