Pinewoods Resort RV Park

Overview

Pinewoods Resort RV Park offers a unique mountain getaway located in the high-altitude heart of the Dixie National Forest. Situated at an elevation of approximately 8,500 feet, this park provides a refreshing escape from the desert heat during the peak summer months. It successfully blends the rustic charm of alpine camping with the convenience of a full-service resort. Visitors can expect a tranquil environment surrounded by towering ponderosa pines, making it a premier choice for those seeking a forested retreat in Southern Utah’s scenic highlands.

Location & Surroundings

The park is nestled within Duck Creek Village, UT, a picturesque mountain community known as the gateway to several national wonders. Its position on Cedar Mountain places guests near stunning geological formations and pristine alpine lakes. The surrounding landscape is characterized by ancient lava rock fields and dense evergreen forests, offering a remarkably cool climate even in the middle of July. This central location serves as an ideal base camp for exploring the high-country wonders located between the region's major national parks.

Amenities & Park Features

Despite its remote mountain feel, the park features modern conveniences to ensure a comfortable stay for modern travelers. Guests have access to full hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp service, accommodating various rig sizes and types. One of the most distinctive features is access to the resort's indoor heated pool and hot tub, providing a rare luxury in a forest setting. Additional features include an on-site restaurant, clean laundry facilities, and well-maintained bathhouses, ensuring travelers have everything they need without leaving the property.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is just minutes away, with direct access to a vast network of OHV and ATV trails that crisscross the Dixie National Forest. Nature lovers can visit the nearby Cedar Breaks National Monument or take a short drive to the crystal-clear waters of Navajo Lake for fishing and boating. For those interested in unique geology, Mammoth Cave and the Ice Caves are popular local excursions. The park’s proximity to Zion and Bryce Canyon makes day trips to these iconic national destinations highly accessible for guests.

Who This Park Is Best For

Pinewoods Resort is perfectly suited for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy motorized trail riding or mountain hiking. It is also an excellent choice for families looking for a structured resort environment that offers more than a standard forest site. Because of the high elevation, it is the ideal destination for summer travelers wishing to escape the heat. Whether you are an angler or a national park hobbyist, this park provides a great balance of nature and comfort while exploring the scenic beauty of Kane County.

The location was amazing. The resort was very underwhelming. Simple things would make it so much more enjoyable. Better service. Fire alarms that were actually connected. Wifi that actually worked. No one was there, even though it was a weekend. With how they run the place, I can see why. It's unfortunate because if they actually cared, it could be an amazing place to stay.

Horrible customer service. I was trying to call to get information on the restaurant. This guy answered with a simple hello. I grabbed the number from their website and asked if I was calling the restaurant. He said, "This is the resort. It is 7 in the morning. What do you want?" Rudest service ever. Would not recommend if they are going to treat people like this.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pinewoods Resort. Nice clean room and grounds in a mountain setting. It's like you're camping but with a nice hotel room. The hot tub was a little too hot but it was nice to have along with the pool.

We were out for a Sunday drive and stopped in for lunch. What a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was great set in the woods, service was 5 star and the food was great too. There is a great little gift shop and a bar as well. We're considering a weekend stay for our anniversary.

We stayed in Duck Creek for vacation with family. On our last evening, we enjoyed a fantastic meal at pinewoods Grille. The service is awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We enjoyed the clam & shrimp basket, the chicken alfredo, and the sausage, pepperoni, mushroom pizza. All of it was scrumptious. If we lived here, we would be here often. We didn't stay at the resort, so we unfortunately can not resort.

A very small park in a resort area. Hookups were good and my site was long enough for the RV + Toad. Picnic table and fire ring in an area behind and left of the RV. The sites and all the roads are dirt & gravel. The restaurant was open in the lodge. A great base camp for exploring Cedar Breaks.

Very peaceful forested location and the perfect base camp to access Zion and Bryce Canyon National parks. My girlfriend and i stayed in the Wall Street cabin, very cozy and it had all we needed to enjoy our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and made our trip that much better. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for everyone who appreciates nature and getting away from the busy day to day.

Great, spacious place to rest. Can't beat the price! Able to accommodate our two medium - large dogs without hesitation. Perfect to keep the noise down unlike crowded hotels ( especially if your pup is sensitive to sounds). Beautiful place to stay & very accommodating hosts. Excited to return in Fall!
