Pleasant Valley Family Campground

Overview

Pleasant Valley Family Campground offers a peaceful retreat set within the scenic landscape of Estell Manor. This family-owned destination focuses on providing a classic camping experience where guests can reconnect with nature while enjoying modern comforts. The park is characterized by its mature trees and spacious sites, creating a sense of privacy and tranquility that many RVers seek when traveling through Southern New Jersey. It serves as a comfortable bridge between the rustic outdoors and the convenience of home.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in Atlantic County, the park is tucked away from the coastal hustle while remaining remarkably accessible. It is bordered by the Pinelands National Reserve, offering a backdrop of lush forests and winding waterways. The surrounding area of Estell Manor is known for its historic sites and vast parklands, making it an ideal spot for those who appreciate a quiet, woodland setting rather than a high-traffic urban environment. The area is rich in natural beauty, offering a refreshing break from the busier tourist corridors.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground is well-equipped to handle various RV sizes, offering sites with full hookup capabilities including water, electric, and sewer service. For recreation, families can take advantage of the large swimming pool during the summer months or gather at the playground and game room. Practical needs are met with on-site laundry facilities, a camp store for essentials, and clean bathhouses. The park also features:

  • Basketball and volleyball courts
  • Horseshoe pits and outdoor games
  • Propane refilling services
  • Planned weekend activities

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

One of the park's greatest assets is its proximity to the Jersey Shore. A short drive brings visitors to the iconic boardwalks of Ocean City or the vibrant entertainment scene of Atlantic City. For nature lovers, the adjacent Estell Manor Park features miles of hiking trails and a historic glassworks site. Additionally, the Cape May County Zoo is a popular day trip for families looking for an educational and free outing within easy reach of their campsite, providing a diverse range of activities for all ages.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an excellent choice for families with children who enjoy traditional outdoor activities like swimming, sports, and social events. It also appeals to RVers who want a wooded home base that offers a cooler, shaded alternative to beachfront camping. If you prefer a relaxed atmosphere where the focus is on campfire stories and local exploration rather than high-intensity resort-style entertainment, this campground fits your travel style perfectly. It is a welcoming spot for those looking to experience the best of New Jersey’s nature and coast.

A nice, quiet family campground, reasonably priced.and very close to other activities. Owners and staff are great people that made my stay there very enjoyable. I would highly recommend spending the summer camping season there.

We just finished our 3rd season here. We absolutely LOVE this campground! Everyone here is so friendly! So many people we have talked to have been staying here for many, MANY years so that shows how great this campground is. All her staff are so friendly and accommodating. Lana is amazing! Always remembers who you are and is always so friendly. We love stopping in just to chat. And she keeps the grounds looking so nice. All her flowers look so pretty all the time. I HIGHLY recommend this campground when looking for a place to camp. Especially if you are looking for a family, friendly place

We have been camping here for years! My kids grew up here and have made Life long friends! We love Lana, she is so good to our kids every time they stop in the store! She makes a point to remember everyone’s name! Grounds are always clean and full of beautiful flowers throughout the season. Pool is always well kept clean as well! Summer staff are a few of the kids that grew up camping here which shows you how amazing some of these people are!

Great campground. Love the owners and how they make you feel like family immediately upon arrival. We were here in early August for a weekend getaway with our friends. The cabins are absolutely pristine and well worth the trip. Cleanest I’ve ever seen anywhere. Nice pool and gathering areas. They also upkeep their gardens very well, and I personally loved finding all of the gnomes!

The owners of this campground are compassionate, wonderful and unique. The campground is exceptional, I was supposed to be a seasonal here and due to unforeseen circumstances I had to sell my camper and with no problem I got back my deposit. My dog had to get a expensive surgery which made it unaffordable for me to camp, heartbroken. I don't know Ilana, only met her twice, she heard my story and shoved money into my bag to help with the cost. A complete stranger so giving. I left there hysterical with a heavy heart. Besides the campground being exceptional, the owners are as well. I'm hoping in the future to get another camper and be able to come here. If anything I will rent a cabin for a weekend. This is the place where everyone needs to be. In my 61 years of camping I never come across a place and people like this. God bless this lovely couple.
