don’t stay here!! they’re hiking up prices on everything because they can’t keep campers so us long term folks have to pay! no one wants to stay here because of the price increase, insane new rules an management that only cares about money. it’s ridiculous an we hate it. it’s so unfair. the campground isn’t what it used to be and no one takes into consideration the feelings of the people who call this their home. we don’t have working washers/dryers half the time, the bathrooms an showers are disgusting, the ladies in upper management want to punish you if you complain about anything and threaten to kick you out or retaliate in some way. we aren’t able to get packages from certain carriers here anymore. it’s just sad. this used to be such an amazing place but it’s went to hell.

Clean campground with easy trash pickup, friendly people, and great walking trail and pickleball courts nearby. Definitely recommend, especially for anyone living in their RV full-time.

Kinda pricey but it's really nice with plenty to do. Plenty of bike trails, fishing and swimming. Has pickle ball courts, water park, soccer, baseball/softball fields, archery and more.

Could be a great place. But very run down. Bath houses are awful not very well maintained. No ventilation on the bath house so it was very hot.

It's a wonderful campground! The service is great! The location is the best in Decatur Alabama! And it's memorial day weekend! Woohoo. They have restrooms and showers and laundry room!

Not the cleanest park I've ever seen, but the sites do have room. My main gripe is WAY too many children constantly running around not supervised. Some even continued to play running through my site until I finally had to tell them to stop. Also, at 9:15pm, went out to walk my dog for the last walk of the day and some teenage girl was casually strolling through my campsite. She was using it as a shortcut to the bathrooms I guess. No apology, no nothing, but a good scolding made sure she knew that she had done wrong. I think I'll make another choice if I do return to this area.

Really nice and clean campground. Even bathrooms and showers were always clean! Only thing is I would've thought that being as it is Point mallard, I figured there would be more activities at the actual campground. Like maybe a basketball court or batting cage.

We love staying at the point mallard campground, we have no complaints as far as site, hook ups or customer service goes. the complaint i do have however, is that it seems upper management doesn’t care for the scenery of the park. last time i was here was around may, instead of them using money to repave the roads or get concrete pads for the sites or even get better washers/dryers they have spent no telling how much buying junk to go in the campground office. It may as well be a boutique in there. In my opinion they should put things you’d need to camp in there not purses, wallets, lotions and such. it has taken up so much room you can’t even walk in there. i just think they could’ve spent their money better, on more important things than on a bunch of junk that no one will buy or even be able to afford for that matter. I am a 58 year old man so take this review as you will.

Do NOT recommend. Local suggested picking this Campground bc of proximity to water park for our child. Water Park is only open on weekends, however. We went on a weekday. This Campground was the dirtiest we came across our entire trip & the bathroom attendant was so EXTREMELY RUDE and MEAN. She asked us to get out of the bathroom in the morning bc she's busy cleaning & said if we absolutely needed to shower or pee to go do it at the dirty, bug infested, no A/C Pavillion bathrooms down the road. She said her name wasn't any of our damn business and we were more than welcome to report her to the office bc they won't give a damn. When I informed the office worker of this (she was extremely nice) she seemed scared to even tell the bathroom attendant lady anything at all as if this happens all the time. Said she didn't want her to "go off" on us even more. The woman was already extremely confrontational in front of my young daughter which I don't tolerate. So we leave the bathroom to avoid her and go to laundry room to grab our clothes that were finished while we showered & attendant then comes in there slamming all the machine doors around and starting her mess again back and forth! This is unacceptable customer service to paying campers or in any industry at all. Just ridiculous and pure mean. If you're having a bad day just say that or communicate to us in a non-hateful way that we are in your way cleaning. My kid was literally already done showering and I was just using the toilet . We were both brushing our teeth for 2 minutes and getting out anyway when this worker came in there on a rampage. I will be telling everyone to never go here! We had fabulous experiences at 5 other Campgrounds last week with zero complaints.
