Great RV Park to stay at if you want to explore the Pacific Coast off Hwy 1. Close to downtown Fort Bragg where you can enjoy local shops and dining. Campsites are nicely spaced with a feeling of being in the wilderness. Restrooms are updated and clean. Price is well worth the experience.

I would not consider this place family-friendly. One staff member (possibly the owner) seemed to enjoy berating and talking down to guests. While I understand and respect the 5 mph speed limit and other rules—and will fully admit I may have been going closer to 10 mph once—I don’t appreciate being spoken to with condescending remarks like, “Can you read?” Unfortunately, my kids were also spoken to harshly, as the 5 mph limit apparently applies to bikes too. We later learned this individual has a bit of a reputation in town for this kind of behavior. That said, the campground itself was clean and well-maintained. The laundry, bathroom, and shower facilities were also in good condition.

We loved our stay at Pomo RV Park! The grounds are beautiful, with lots of greenery and enough space between sites to feel private and peaceful. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind throughout our visit. The only small note is that we would’ve liked more hot water in the paid showers—but everything else was so well done, it’s still a full 5 stars from us. Would absolutely stay again!

The staff person who asked me to drive more slowly in the campground had a valid point but a stunningly rude way of asking me to slow down. He asked whether I had seen the speed limit sign and if not probably because I was going too fast to see it. He threatened that the weekend could turn out badly because of my speed. And he repeated the whole litany as if I were a kid who didn't get it.

This review is specifically about the tent camping area. While the setting was peaceful—with quail and deer frequently passing through—and the bathrooms and showers were impressively clean and well-maintained, there were a few drawbacks. The tent sites are quite close together, which limited the sense of privacy. One of my main reasons for choosing this campground was the advertised Wi-Fi, as I was traveling with my teenage son. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi was only available for RV guests, which was disappointing. I wish the front desk staff had been more informative and accommodating about this, especially since some areas of the campground apparently do offer access. Lastly, my interactions with the staff weren’t particularly positive, which took away from the overall experience. With a few improvements in guest communication and tent area amenities, this campground could be a great option.

An unexpected gem of a find. We had a change of direction to our month long trip and found Pomo RV along the way. Out of ALL 19 stops along our journey this has been a refreshing find. The spots are large and very private. The laundry facility is very clean. We didn’t use the showers but there are signs posted that they are closed each day from 12-2 for cleaning. Highly recommend.

The best RV park in the area. Level, and spacious sites. Quiet and secluded.

Owner and staff are incredibly friendly. Nicest camp restroom facilities I’ve ever seen by far.

We stayed at Pomo recently with our 38' RV. Location is nice with a windy road there (the route we took). The Campground needs a good pruning. There is no way to get to your site without some trees and bushes scraping the sides and top. Also, the site was too narrow at the door so you were forced to walk into a bush. If you check in late, you will not have electrical hookup. We called ahead of time saying we would be late. Luckily, the manager was outside when we got there and he was able to come over and unlock the electrical. DO NOT drive over 5 mph in the campground. I did not pay attention to the posted speed limit and drove approximately 10 mph and got a thorough lecture, even though I apologized immediately when approached. I apologized several more times as the lecture continued. Speed limit noted! Overall, the campground was clean and very quiet, just a tight squeeze for a larger rig.

This one star rating requires some explanation. I am a lifelong good Sam member and specifically chose this Park because it has such good ratings on the good Sam website after arriving we were told (very rudely) that they are not a good Sam Park and would not honor Our membership discount. I did contact good Sam and this park is under obligation to continue to honor their good Sam discount through the 2024 annual calendar year. They are dropping the good Sam qualification in 2025. I would have to say otherwise the park is clean and well maintained, but the staff is way less than helpful and cooperative. Great location, easy to go and see all the things in the nearby Fort Bragg area. Unfortunate that the staff was misleading and unkind about it.
