Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate being close to the Mesabi Trail, a premier paved path perfect for cycling and hiking through the northern woods. History buffs can visit the nearby Forest History Center to learn about the region’s logging past, or explore the Judy Garland Museum in downtown Grand Rapids. For those who enjoy the water, the lake itself is excellent for fishing and paddling, offering a quiet space to explore the shoreline and watch for local eagles.

Fantastic place, absolutely beautiful, well kept, and the owners (and their kids) were awesome. Kids had a blast playing and frog catching!

Great Family owned campground!!! The family works hard keeping the grounds up kept and constantly improving it. Kid friendly and pet friendly. Long term campers were friendly and met a lot of new people. Great fishing lake even off the docks or shores. Would definitely recommend 100%. We stayed for six weeks wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Beautiful spot on Prairie Lake near Grand Rapids MN. Family run campground with full and partial hookups. Very clean & well maintained rest rooms plus separate showers.

Price not bad. No laundry, wifi, or tv. Not really great. Think meant for serious fishermen and/or hunters.

Stayed at Prairie Lake Campground for two night and loved it. OUr site was tucked into the big pines and had a porta-potty very near. It was later season and a Thursday & Friday, so it was not busy and very peaceful. Site was clean and comfortable and the owners were very friendly and kind! Bathrooms and showers were good, but bring some quarters for a shower as there is a fee of $0.25 per 2.5 minutes of shower. Not a big deal as long as you have the change handy. Likely a good way to make sure people don't take too long or leave water on. All in all, we would happily go back and recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet campground on a nice lake, near Grand Rapids!
