Great place to use as home base for fishing! Only con would be the internet- didn’t seem to be working while we were there but not a huge problem.

Check was easy. We ended up with truck problems but they worked with us when we let them know we would be a day late. Beautiful views. Loved the nice protected bay. Thank you for a great stay as we continue our tradition of visiting a new lake every year.

Great camp ground with full hookups. Very quiet and well maintained. Gravel or paved spots with picnic tables and grassy areas, if you have a boat there are docks on site. Very friendly staff

We stayed for 5 days at Rainy Lake and it was clean and well-ordered. The pad we had was just barely long enough for our Class A motorhome and tow car. The gravel was thick but it was soft underneath the gravel so our leveling pads sank a few inches, but overall not a big deal. Good water/sewer/electric without any issues. Unless you have a boat, there are no amenities to speak of. Oh, and a small playground for young kids. If you do have a boat, there is a boat launch with access to the lake. The only negative thing is poor connectivity to cell service... at best, I could get perhaps 1-3 Mb/s but more often it was zero. The RV park had wifi and, when it worked, it was quite good. But it was up and down all the time, so, a bit frustrating since it was our only way of connecting. There was a porta-potty near us (which we never used), picnic table and fire pit, but otherwise no bathroom, shower or laundry. Would I stay there again? Yes! The owners were very nice and the place was spotless, and a long pad with full-hookup is all we need anyway.

Update: With the exempt of last year, we have been coming here for the last few summers, I look forward to taking my family here! They have a great new play area for the kids and even more kayaks. It is still quiet and peaceful. You can tell the owners really care about their campers and their campground. My new favorite thing is to sit by the water in the morning watching the birds. I take this opportunity to relax by coloring (something I don't get to do alot) My husband who is an avid fisherman says the fishing is great and loves the convenience of the docks right in the campground. My kids love playing at the beach and with the any kids that come here for camping. There are more things to be said, but I think I went on long enough 😁 I can't wait to come back. After looking for awhile for campgrounds, I am glad we stumbled on this hidden gem. The campground only opened a couple years ago but they have made a very enjoyable place to be. It is very quiet, and very family friendly. The beach area is not very big but I thought it was perfect for our family. We had a very nice campsite with alot of room for the kids to play. We really liked that.We were able to use the paddle boat and kayak with no charge or limitations. Which was very nice, the kids loved it! They have their own boat launch and you can keep your boat right there on one of their very nice docks with electric on most of them. We didn't have to worry about people getting into our boat and stealing things. It is nice not to worry about that. Some of the things I think would make this place better is a playground area for the kids and maybe a volleyball or some other kind of sport. Having basketballs or baseballs, or badminton items for people to use would be awesome! I am sure this awesome place will continue to grow and add some of things as they go and become more established. They had already told us they are planning a playground someday. To conclude very relaxing and fun for the kids!

My two boys and I stayed here at the end of July. It is a beautiful campground within biking distance of Ranier and International Falls. It is also close to Voyageurs National park. They boy enjoyed playing in the bay and with the water toys provided. It is an awesome spot to launch your fishing trip into Rainy Lake with a boat launch and slip included. Everyone was very friendly, we were luckily enough to get in here at the last minute and look forward to returning in the future.

Wonderful RV park. The owners are super friendly. They accommodated our late arrival. We rented e-bikes and rode to Voyagers NP and into downtown Ranier. The site we had (#7) is really big and right next to the water. I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a friendly experience!

Thanks for the great week. Would have given 5* if there was a bath house. Our camper bathroom gets a little small after a week. Lol. Well probably be back some time though. Great people.
