Location & Surroundings
Located in the Jurupa Valley portion of Riverside, CA, the park is conveniently situated near major Southern California corridors while feeling remarkably secluded. It sits right along the Santa Ana River Trail, a massive multi-use path that provides miles of paved exploration. The local environment is characterized by native cottonwood trees and expansive grassy fields, providing a refreshing microclimate that feels much more natural than the surrounding suburban sprawl.
Amenities & Park Features
RVers can choose between the Lakeview area, which provides premium full hookup sites, and the more shaded Cottonwood area. The park is a recreational hub featuring two fishing lakes stocked with trout and catfish, a seasonal splash pad, and a miniature golf course. Other highlights include a challenging disc golf course, clean laundry facilities, and a general store that stocks everything from firewood to fishing bait to ensure guests have a seamless and comfortable stay.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Beyond the park boundaries, visitors are minutes away from the historic architecture of the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in downtown Riverside. For those seeking exercise, the trails at Mount Rubidoux Park offer a rewarding climb with 360-degree views of the valley. Local culture is also highly accessible at the Riverside Art Museum, while nature lovers will appreciate the botanical beauty found at the nearby Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is a perfect match for active families and fishing enthusiasts who appreciate a resort-style feel within a public park setting. It is also an excellent choice for Southern California road trippers looking for a spacious, clean, and safe home base while exploring the Inland Empire. Because of the diverse recreational offerings, it caters specifically to travelers who want their campground to be a destination in itself rather than just a quick overnight stop.

Got my 2,000.00 ebike stolen there. They cut the lock and there are no cameras anywhere except for one very bad quality camera pointing to the front gate. Thw homeless people in the river bottom behind the park completely ruin this place.

My experience there was a different experience from a visitor. I was part of the day workers crew, its hard work the camp grounds are too big there is water but the water tastes like water with a hint of somthing I can't say on here. There are birds of different kinds that soar all over cars and RVs of all kinds different sizes of people and ages walking. Its distracting to do my work release in peace. I guess thats what I get. NIE DIE, over and out.

Stayed at the park 2nd thru the 5th of October. This park is extremely clean and well maintained. I saw the cleaning the bathrooms and showers multiple times a day. Rangers and staff was very friendly. They were always patrolling the park during the day and at night, I felt very safe. If you go you will definitely return.

Only rating this lake a 1 start based on the poor fishing. My wife and I went to this lake today for Free Fishing Day. They waived the $15 per person fishing fee, but still charged for the $6 per person entrance fee. They claimed to have stocked the lake with 900 lbs of catfish the day before. When my wife and I showed up, we noticed the lake was packed with hundreds of people fishing. During the 4 hours we were there, not a single person caught a fish. No, I am not exaggerating... Not a single nibble even though it has been less than 24 hours of stocking. Thank goodness we didn't pay the $15 fishing person fee.

Our stay at Rancho Jurupa Park was absolutely fantastic! This place is a dream for families with kids. There were multiple playgrounds, a super fun splash pad, and a beautiful lake that added to the peaceful, scenic atmosphere. The wide open grassy fields gave the kids plenty of space to run, play, and just be kids. We also really appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was—from the facilities to the grounds. It also felt incredibly safe and family-friendly, which made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Whether you’re stopping for a night or planning a longer stay, I highly recommend Rancho Jurupa Park We’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a really fun camping spot. The splash pad was a life saver in 100' weather. Restrooms are pretty clean but as usual people are gross and don't keep them clean. The little store on-site was also a huge help when our ice melted and we were able to get more. Bring cash though cause there credit service went down and was cash only.

Beautiful park! This was our first visit and stay at Rancho Jurupa Park. The entire park, including individual campground sites, facilities, water park and common areas were extremely well maintained. The concrete RV pads were ample in size with each camp site having its own park table and bench as well as a fire pit. The areas surrounding and between each campsite were lush green grass. Each camp site was extremely well maintained with full hookups.
