I rented from Dan at Red Bluff storage for a while and was very happy with him and the facility for the price. He sold it to an out of state owner who hiked the rent nearly 50% from $300 to $430. I moved to a brand new facility in a bigger unit with blue tooth gates and door locks, water and dump for my rv that is all concrete and level unlike the asphalt at Red Bluff. And it’s cheaper! As I moved out I drove around and it looks like there is at least 50% vacancy now. I’m not surprised.

So disappointed. I left a great review only 4 months ago. Now I get blindsided by a rent hike from $135 a month to $240 with no notice!! I never got anything in the mail like they say they sent. surely they could afford to send a certified letter giving me 30 days notice of price hike. Nope log in to post and it said I owe $240???? Not gonna happen already got a new place for $120 a month indoor storage to fit my small 18' boat. They keep saying not the cheapest but the other units have new concrete floors, insulated with electric for what they are charging now. I wish they would at least have me notice. I am the only one that gets the mail at my house so I would have seen it. Maybe it got lost or stolen but to get blindsided like that when I logged in was not fun. pulled everything out of the unit already.

Not happy but awarded 1 star due to facility size and good location. So much for a “nuisance” raise. My unit more than doubled in price with a 30 day notice. It went from $270 to $567 per month. Please spare me the company line about now being in line with market rates. I get it, it’s a value add play and I suspect you’ll raise rents, perhaps make some improvements, then sell in 3-5 years. Your prerogative but one would think a slower rent escalation would be more palpable for your customers.

I agree with the other 1 star reviews here. The rental rates have been slowly going up over the past year without warning. The past month, a 30 day notice was given for a $89.00 rent increase. When trying to call, the people answering the phone say they have no affiliation with Red Bluff Storage and there is no email address to try and contact anyone either. The unit and facilities themselves are fine (hence the extra star), but not worth the extreme rate increase in my opinion.

I have been a tenant here since 2018 to store our boat. My complaint, along with everyone else’s I’m sure to follow in the coming months with the mass exodus, is that of the new management company who bought the property. As stated above, increased rates 60% for the month of December without warning, “conveniently” after the November dues were charged to our accounts. If you are wanting to leave as I chose to do, you don’t get any monies back at a pro rated daily rate FYI. The previous owner, Dan, was awesome to work with, but I won’t be spending $327 a month to store a boat. Especially in an uninsulated, non conditioned space, with no dump facilities for RV, or trash dumpsters.
