Red Mountain RV Park

Overview

Red Mountain RV Park serves as a welcoming gateway to the rugged beauty of Grand County. Situated in Kremmling, this park is known for its peaceful atmosphere and clean facilities, making it a reliable choice for travelers exploring the Colorado high country. Unlike crowded resort destinations, this park offers a more authentic mountain experience where the focus is on the surrounding natural landscape and easy access to world-class outdoor recreation.

Location & Surroundings

Located at the junction of Highway 40 and Highway 9, the park sits in a wide valley surrounded by towering peaks and vast public lands. The Kremmling cliffs provide a dramatic backdrop to the property, while the nearby Colorado and Blue Rivers define the local terrain. Its position makes it a strategic stop for those traveling between Rocky Mountain National Park and Steamboat Springs, offering a quieter alternative to the more heavily trafficked tourist hubs.

Amenities & Park Features

Guests will find a range of practical features designed for a comfortable stay. The park provides full hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp service to accommodate diverse rig sizes. For convenience, the facility includes clean restrooms, hot showers, and on-site laundry facilities. Travelers can also enjoy reliable Wi-Fi and designated picnic areas. The layout includes both pull-through and back-in sites, ensuring that even larger motorhomes can navigate the grounds with ease.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

As a hub for the local sportsman’s paradise, the park is minutes away from world-class trout fishing and boating at Wolford Mountain Reservoir. Adventurers can explore miles of OHV trails or venture into the nearby national forests for hiking and seasonal hunting. The Colorado River offers excellent opportunities for rafting and kayaking. During the winter months, the area transforms into a destination for snowmobiling and ice fishing, providing year-round appeal for outdoor enthusiasts.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize location and access to nature over luxury resort amenities. It is a fantastic fit for anglers, hunters, and off-roaders looking for a well-maintained basecamp to return to after a day in the field. Jesse and his family are the perfect hosts/owners of Red Mountain RV park. So very helpful, professional and respectful. I spent 6 months (the summer 2025) and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Sites are big enough for any size rig, level, multiple slides and great hook ups. There is a mix of permanent, seasonal and travelers, and all are made welcome. Very central to many outdoor activities and Kremmling was also very welcoming.

Full hookup RV site. Perfect. When we pulled in for one night they had room. There are full-timers there and they were wonderfully helpful to us noobs trying to hook up in the middle of the night.

Super grateful Jesse was able to get me into a spot when I really needed it, and then an extra night. I just needed to chill and regroup. On the second night, I was invited over to a full timer's spot there. They were roasting hotdogs and marshmallows, and I said yes! It was so good to connect with other full time travelers and share stories and photos with fun camp food. This is a family run RV park and they are so kind and accommodating. This park is on my recommendations GO list! Thank you guys so much. You made it feel like home.

Red Mountain RV Park in Kremmling is perfectly maintained with very knowledgeable staff and great support. We were guided to our space and assisted with our 50 amp connection. A perfect overnight stop.

This is a fantastic, family owned RV park with beautiful spaces. Each space is divided by beautiful trees. There's some great green space. The bathroom/showers are spacious and clean. There is a laundry room. When we arrived, our sink was clogged. The gentleman owner hopped right in and took a look. He gave a little advice. I was able to fix the sink right away. The town is very close and accessible. Would stay again 💯!

Was very surprised by the facility, as I saw on maps all the storage units in back looks a bit wild, however was impressed how well the kids worked and involved...and respectful !!, clean bathrooms and handy laundry unit to boot. On my way north and thought I was going to blow a few days off and play in the hills, decided to stay a 3rd day . way way better than that over priced KOA scams.. I will certainly be back

We have a nice 4 season 5th wheel here...and we're honestly relatively new to Red Mountain. What you take away overall from Jesse and his family is constistency...really good attitudes...and a family atmosphere. His children are always out helping...he's always up early plowing, and honestly...wow. They have propane right there...and they'll send one of the kids out for the propane bottles, fill them, and bring them right back out with a dolly(In the middle of the winter...I know, right) --- and the propane prices are extremely fair, always. I moved my other half up this year, from Denver to the mountains, and honestly...all the neighbors are extremely helpful, people really care, and his family are just really terrific!! Can't say enough about them.
