Rimrock Lake Resort
Overview
Rimrock Lake Resort offers a classic mountain escape in the heart of Washington's Cascade Range. This destination is widely known for its picturesque lake views and a laid-back atmosphere that feels miles away from the bustle of city life. Operating primarily as a seasonal retreat, the resort provides a gateway to the vast natural beauty of the Wenatchee National Forest. It is a place where travelers can truly disconnect from technology and reconnect with the great outdoors in a scenic environment.
Location & Surroundings
Perched along the shores of the Tieton River and Rimrock Lake, the resort is conveniently situated off Highway 12, also known as the White Pass Scenic Byway. The surroundings are characterized by rugged volcanic cliffs, dense evergreen forests, and the sparkling blue waters of the reservoir. This high-elevation setting provides cooler mountain air during the peak summer months, making it a popular retreat for those looking to escape the desert heat of the Yakima Valley while enjoying expansive vistas.
Amenities & Park Features
The facility caters to travelers with a mix of RV sites and cozy cabin rentals. On-site, visitors can find a fully stocked general store and deli that serves as a central hub for supplies, ice, fishing tackle, and local information. While the park maintains a rustic, traditional camping charm, it provides essential hookups for RVers and comfortable spaces for groups. The proximity to the resort marina allows for easy boat launching and rentals, making it simple to spend a full day out on the water.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts will find no shortage of activity in the Naches area. Rimrock Lake is a premier destination for kokanee fishing and motorized boating, while the nearby Tieton River is famous for its seasonal whitewater rafting excursions. Hikers can easily reach the Pacific Crest Trail or explore local trailheads like Clear Lake for more moderate strolls. During the winter, the area transforms into a hub for snowmobiling and downhill skiing at the nearby White Pass Ski Area.
Who This Park Is Best For
This resort is ideal for active families and outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize direct access to nature over manicured luxury resort amenities. It is a perfect match for those who enjoy standard hookups while spending their days on the water or exploring rugged forest trails. If you are a traveler looking for a genuine mountain experience with a community feel in the heart of Washington’s wilderness, this park is a fantastic choice for your next adventure.

We where passing by coming from Seattle heading towards yakima. I saw this little place I went in with my son and was greeted by who I believe is katie. I must say she was on the phone as i walked in and as soon as she was done she greeted my son and I in the sweetest voice. Took the time to take our order as we were really hungry. She offered us to take a look around and walk down to the lake if we'd like, while we waited for our lunch. Its the most beautiful place ive seen. When we went back in to get our food we were now greated by who i believe is Frank. He was so sweet and caring and the whole time we felt like we where more at home than at a resort. Ive never been camping or anything but i i know for a fact that when i get to , this will be my go too. Also forgot to mention the food was amazingly DELICIOUS!!! There is something about this place i just cant stop thinking about and i will be coming back very soon.. thank you for the wonderful service.

Rimrock Lake Resort is an absolute gem! The campsites are fantastic, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Frank, the owner, is incredibly helpful, friendly, and truly goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a great experience. The resort has everything you need for a perfect outdoor getaway—docks and a boat launch, great fishing, plenty of swimming areas, and lots of spots for bank fishing. If camping isn’t your style, they also have several cozy cabins available. All the RV sites come with full hookups (power, water, and sewage), and the bath house with clean showers and restrooms is a great bonus. I highly recommend visiting this place—whether you're camping, fishing, or just looking to relax by the water, Rimrock Lake Resort is the perfect spot. Make sure to book your stay with Frank—you won’t be disappointed!

The absolute best most beautiful place to camp, couldn't have asked for better service and accommodation from Frank and Kate! Clean bathroom and showers, special attention to proper rock laying around fire pits (high rise) so you can enjoy a fire even in high winds! Green lake so beautiful must see in person, fishing is great caught salmon. When our dog got loose and we were in the panic because we couldn't find our old half blind loving adorable blue nose pit bull, Frank immediately offered to help find him after we told him we lost our dog by the lake, they are compassionate animal lovers and we appreciated their help in finding our big blue berry pancake!
