It's an all right campground. One of those that doesnt have greeters. Took money out of my account 3 days before we got there. Probably won't go back there.

SAD that we paid for five nights at what used to be such a wonderful place to visit with family and friends made over the years! Unfortunately this park is no longer a place to enjoy! The lots are not being kept in working order and I was told we were at their mercy, and nothing we could do about it! We only stayed two nights and while we were loading up to go stay a night elsewhere, the same unfriendly woman insisted on taking down our paperwork for a site that was paid for thru Sunday! Had to walk away from this very rude woman telling us we would have to notify her if we returned to our site and then she would put our paperwork back on our site that we paid for!

Great RV park just at the base of the mountain road (246) up to Highlands. Easily get 50a full hookup paved spaces for WEEKS at a time for around $50-70 a night. Online reservations and contactless check in, super simple and easy living here under all the waterfalls and fresh breeze. Property is right beside Julep Farms and an easy 5-15 drive away from Restaurants and shopping in Dillard, Clayton, and Black Rock Mountain state park. Be aware: speed limits are SLOW AND STRICTLY ENFORCED ALL AROUND forget 55, you’ll be driving through 25, 30, 35 and at best 45 mph zones. All the cops are parked alongside all the roads, all the curves, just waiting for you to accidentally top 45 mph here. Otherwise, this is the VERY BEST RV park anywhere near Highlands NC that serves rigs other than just Class As. Tons of family fun tubing, skylines, waterfalls and hiking trails just a few minutes drive away. Many of the lots are for sale even ($55-90k), including a handful of beautiful tiny cabins with gorgeous landscaping ($250-300k). Don’t scoff, that’s a deal in today’s crazy housing market in GA!

I just want to let everyone know, although River Vista refund policy is stated, there seems to be no exceptions. I did not sign their agreement. After making reservation and the day before our arrival date, my wife’s sister had a turn for the worst relating to her cancer. I really have no problem losing my down payment, but I have been charged the full amount of the four night stay. I’m just thankful I didn’t reserve a week or more.

We arrived and our site information and campground map were in the holder by the office door as promised. No need to “check in.” The campground and private home park are immaculate. Very well kept and clean. The “spa” which really is a very good sized indoor swimming pool was heated and the bubblers running. Which was very nice as we are at the very beginning of the camping season and there were VERY few other campers present. We only stayed one night but we absolutely would stay there again.

River Vista is an above average RV resort. Everything is clean, well maintained and camper centered. We’ll be back next year! Like so many good things, River Vista has changed. Management off site feels very impersonal, adult hot tub (which we loved after long hikes) has turned into a 95° therapy pool. We will probably look for another facility for next year’s adventures!

We made reservations for an overnight stop here. I was a bit concerned after they assigned us a different site than I had selected but there was nothing to worry about. The site (59) was a great site, maybe even better than the one I had selected. It's a nice level concrete pad with room to park your car as well. We didn't experience any problems so the fact that no one is onsite is a non issue for us. They provided a paper with all of the different people to contact depending on what you may have a problem with. We would definitely stay here again when in the area, and for more than an overnight stop!

Fourth stay at River Vista in my 28’ travel trailer. Much has changed over the last two years. Many more sites are private and quite a bit of construction going on. However sites are level (mine was gravel), facilities are very clean And people have been very friendly. Did not notice any noise out of the ordinary. I could not connect to the WiFi but I think that has something to do with my IPhone. Cable was great with a clear picture. I did pick my site based on pictures on the website so had nice shade in the morning and afternoon. Location is great for exploring the area. Did not eat at any local restaurants. One drawback is there is no office anymore it is all online, miss that additional service. However check in was easy just picked up map and placard on the front board.

We rented an RV from WindySkyRVRentals. It was super convenient with them providing delivery, setup and pickup. All we had to do was check in. River Vista now has a no touch check in that made it convenient for us to arrive at our leisure. Grounds, hot tub, and pool clean. Thanks for a fun easy weekend.

I liked this place. I’m not normally a “RV resort” kind of person. I’ve stayed at a couple of others and wasn’t very impressed, due to cost, and not to mention the people that frequent them generally act like they are a little better than I am. But this place was different. It was priced a lot better than other “resorts”, and although the park was only about half full, everyone we interacted with, including the staff was very nice. The views were nice, close to town. We had a “Standard back in” site, which was plenty of room for our camper, but barely had room for my truck to squeeze into the site. The place was very clean, bathrooms/bathhouse was clean, pool and playground area was clean. Only issues I had was a small leak at the water spigot, which they were very prompt to check on but unfortunately didn’t have the parts to fix it at the moment, and the fact that they had a ton of rain the week before and water was still draining from the small hill beside our site, causing the ground to be wet and messy on our site the whole time. But that wasn’t their fault and they did offer to let us move to another site, but because we were right next to family members, we decided just to deal with the damp ground and stick it out. I would definitely stay here again, and/or recommend it to others, but I would request/pay a little extra for a larger pull-through site.
