My lovely wife and I lived in one of their cabins for 11 months while our home was being remodeled. South 40 has beautiful views of Texas landscapes, including the iconic Longhorns! We enjoyed peaceful walks and meeting other campers. Everyone seemed relaxed and agreed that the South 40 is a hidden gem. Our cabin was very well maintained and had all the necessary amenities for a long stay. We will definitely go back soon! All of the above was great, but the best part of our experience was how we were treated. Bobby and Mary Ross are amazing! They treated us just like family!

All rocky sites and a lot of live ins. Not the neatest place and at 38$ it's over priced. Host was nice enough.

This is without a doubt one of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed at. most of the sites are very level they are gravel but they drain very well and there’s no standing water so that means very few potholes. the people that run this place are the nicest people you would ever want to meet they are very helpful and they go out of their way to make yours a pleasant stay The shower house and the laundry room were. Very clean and very well kept they also have a very nice pool very clean and the large room at the back of the building looks like for bigger get-togethers is very clean and well-maintained very pleasant atmosphere If there were a higher rating I certainly would give it they are located very well, close to Austin about 97 miles from Houston and probably about the same to San Antonio good highways in all directions a nice place to just stop over and rest or plan on staying longer.
