Overview

Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park offers a unique blend of natural beauty and small-town charm in Waynesville, Missouri. Managed by the city, this park is nestled along the banks of the Roubidoux Creek, providing a peaceful environment for travelers. It serves as a highly accessible home base for exploring the Ozarks or visiting nearby military installations, offering a welcoming atmosphere for both short-term and extended stays. The park is well-regarded for its quiet atmosphere and scenic waterfront views.

Location & Surroundings

The park is situated within the scenic Laughlin Park, placing visitors right in the heart of local history. It is positioned along the historic Route 66 corridor, where travelers can enjoy the sights of the iconic Roubidoux Bridge. The surrounding landscape features limestone bluffs and lush greenery, creating a tranquil backdrop while remaining just a short walk from the diverse dining options and local shops found in downtown Waynesville.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The primary draw for many is the Roubidoux Spring, a massive freshwater spring that is a popular destination for certified cave divers and photographers. Anglers often frequent the creek for trout and bass fishing, while hikers and walkers enjoy the paved trails that wind through the park and along the water. Visitors should not miss Frog Rock, a famous local landmark overlooking the highway, or the historical museums located just minutes away in the city center.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is ideal for military families visiting nearby Fort Leonard Wood who need a comfortable and close place to stay. It is also a favorite for Route 66 enthusiasts looking to immerse themselves in the classic Americana culture of the Mother Road. It's peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. This is a very primitive stop though. Power hook up and water were nice. Grounds are well kept.

Great for a RV hook up, and camp. Lots to do around here. But the RV park is very basic, water, sewer, and 20, 30, and 50, amp power hook-ups

Overall, i recommend this campground! The rates to stay at this campground have increased 75% earlier this year, bringing a one week stay to $25 a day. Perhaps this is a bit steep for a plot of land with hookups, but it is in downtown Waynesville. But, it sure beats the $143 a night for a resort campground in Yellowstone! The city employees that help you make a reservation are always friendly and helpful, and paying is simple. The only downsides of this campground is that due to it sitting beside the river, it's prone to flooding or threat of flooding, and there is no camp store, no laundry facilities, and minimal toilet and shower facilities. But if all you need is an affordable place to park for a few nights, it's well worth it for location and price.

It's in such a convenient spot . Raise the mo they rent by $200 .. for it being g in such BAD BAD flood zone I don't seem to understand . But other than the raising of the price it's pretty decent

Great little city run RV park… has all needed utilities and hookups, but has no amenities… the park appears to be a seasonal park with lots of long term residents… we stayed one night as a place to sleep with a quick run to Fort Lenardwood. commissary for supplies..

This is a different kind of basic campground. It has full hookups, but the campground itself is mostly Rock. There is a decent amount of space between sites. There are no other facilities in the park. A few sites have a fire pit, but none have a picnic table. The greatest thing about it is that it is only $20 per night. This makes it good for just an overnight stay. I would stay again when passing through.
