Ok so we were a late arrival for tonight 10/10/2025there was an emergency number on the paper that says call for emergencies only. Well we got the paper from the late arrivals board and it told us where our cabin was, we were pleasantly pleased at how easy this part was, however once we got to our cabin 301B a delux cabin with two rooms which was back by a field…we walked in and there were mouse droppings everywhere. On the counters, all in the sinks, under the sinks, along boards. Under the sinks smells like mouse pee (if you know you know) 🤢We called the emergency line over 17 times and not a single answer. Well left messages and nothing. We were going to sleep in our car but it was too crowded with six people. It was not safe to stay there so we grabbed our stuff and left and had to find a hotel about 17 mins away that had a vacancy and had to pay double just for the one night. It is currently 3am on 11/11/2025 and still no call back. My poor family has had go through hell tonight. I’ve never stayed in a cabin so gross. We checked the beds and the pull out couch and the pull out couch didn’t have any sheets to put on it, the pillows all had hair on them. We took video of the entire place along with photos with timestamps so you can see when they were taken. I’m really hoping in the morning the give us our money back as we are gonna need another place to stay! Sucks because we had to pay over $300 to stay one night at a nearby hotel.

This place is beautiful. The sites have wonderful landscaping and fire pits. There is a pool and a small playground that my kids enjoyed. The laundry facilities are really nice too! We had originally planned for 2 nights here but being that we are at the end of our 3 week trip we are just ready to get started back home to Indiana. I informed the front desk we would only be utilizing one of our reserved 2 night stay not really expecting a refund due to the short notice but they happily refunded us for our unused night. If we were not so anxious to get home we would have really enjoyed this campsite because it is probably the nicest one out of all the places we have stayed on this trip out West. It is very close to Royal Gorge too which is a bonus! 10/10

This KOA has great taste in the layout for the RV sites. You have a picnic table, and outdoor Chairs to set in! Pets are welcome with mostly leashes required! The huge slide is open but Adults are Required. I saw a couple of daredevil with no adults around. I just heard that you are allowed only 4 kids to stay here! A family was told to leave!

My family of 5 had a great time! We rented a cabin with the queen bedroom and bunk beds. I could not find out any information ahead of time about whether or not the pack n play for our one year old would fit in the bedroom, but thankfully it did! The updates to the newer cabins and the nice patios are really enjoyable. We also enjoyed the amenities like the pool, playground, mini golf and giant slide. It’s a great location and really pretty area! I could also tell the grounds are super well kept, there were employees outside every day pulling weeds and picking up trash. A few cons were the bedroom door not shutting all the way, when we arrived our bunk beds did not have sheets, the AC in our bedroom did not work the first night, and we encountered a rude staff member who didn’t handle some of these things very professionally. When I asked if they could do anything for us because of how badly our first night had went, they only offered us one free bundle of fire wood. I just wish someone would have been more apologetic and professional about the problems we encountered our first night there. One staff member in particular, Aaron, really went above and beyond! Was always working hard on a variety of things at the campground, was always smiling and friendly.

I’m writing this review because the owners and staff deserve to be acknowledged. I had to think twice about it because I don’t want to give away the secret… this place is a gem. We were there for Memorial Day weekend and the place was busy, but didn’t feel overwhelming or crowded. They put so much effort into planning fun activities for kids and adults. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the big slide. The entire staff were so pleasant and helpful. The rustic charm was welcomed and fit right in to the scenery. The camp sites have been recently renovated. They are spacious and well kept. Loved the trails, the view and proximity to town. We can always get behind a business who puts the effort in to ensure their customers have a wonderful time and these people really did. We will for sure be coming back. Very memorable trip. A suggestion: a few more toiletries in the country store would be amazing!

Very disappointed with this KOA. No one was there when we arrived, we had booked 2 adjoining sites and when we arrived we were not in adjoining sites and the comment when I called was that we were close enough. For a relatively empty park that was unimpressive. The bathrooms were filthy and freezing cold, we had to clean the laundry ourselves to be able to use it and FYI you should ask people if they want to camp next to a horse corral ( Not my favorite smell ) In the 6 nights we were there we only saw one employee, Aaron and he was helpful and friendly. The garbage cans were overflowing and trash blowing around, which is sad for such a beautiful site with stunning views. We ended up staying 4 more nights in the area, but moved to the Loves RV Park and it was lovely, clean and friendly. This park did not meet our expectations.

Would love to give higher but all the amenities we booked the cabin for were closed with no notice or updates on the website. Even checked before hand to make sure they were not summer only amenities. The staff seems nice maybe would be better during season but would not recommend outside of summer.

This resort needs some work. The amenities were closed when we were there due to time of year. However, you could see the pool needed work, the bathrooms and showers were in need of updates and were not very clean. The views were very nice. The service was great by all 3 that we connected with. Michael did a very nice job and made us feel welcome and took time to ensure we had everything we needed. Aaron did an above and beyond job at filling our propane and Tiffani although she was very new did a wonderful job and ensured we received messages quickly when we had packages delivered. It was a nice stay but does require some updates.

We really liked it here and would consider returning in the future. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only problem I had was that the water pressure/flow was not sufficient. The recently added rock scapes are beautiful. Some of the sites have great dog runs too. Have not seen them before anywhere.

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Gorge KOA August 19th - August 22nd, 2024. We were very impressed with everything. The park is well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and the showers worked great! We will definitely be back!
