My storage room was broken into. Had an expensive lock on it and someone still got into my unit and stole important items. They did nothing about it. They rarely answer the phone. Don't fix any problems you have with the units. Would not recommend this place.

I would not recommend. I reserved a storage unit to aid in relocation, however, the relocation fell through. I called on 6/28/22 to cancel the reservation and request a refund. It's almost been a month and I've called several times, yet the refund has not been received to date. The person that answers the phone each time says the refund has been requested, each time I call and to give it 5 days and call back, then hangs up. It's rude and unprofessional.

Updated review! I want to update my previous review. Management responded quickly to a negative review. .They want to keep clientele happy. My account was updated. Updates to accounts take twenty four hours, management was able to over ride the system and update in twelve. I appreciate the response. My bill is correct now. Thank you Carl! Management has also been busy making vast security improvements. Bright lights, cameras, security gate and new pavement. Payment system leaves a lot to be desired. Four days ago, I notified management by all methods, text and email that I was vacating two units, keeping one unit. I sent pictures of cleaned out units to the appropriate text line. However I am being charged for all three units. If you are like me I really dislike it when there is not a real person to discuss situation with. Rent is due today, they have not changed my statement, I am still being charged for all three units. I have rented storage for four years at this location. Previous owners were much more responsive and helpful.

I have rented several storage units in the Kansas City area, Royal State Storage has been the most affordable out of all the ones I have ever rented, the interactions I have had with the owners have been spectacular, they have started paving the lot which has been needed for years and are painting the entire facility, and it looks great. They have a customer for life !!!!!!

I have been storing here for several years. Spoke to the new owners they are very helpful and have updated the facility. Great security. Impressive upgrades and improvements by new owners. New automated access gate, security lighting, security cameras, security cameras.
