Rustic Trails RV Park

Overview

Rustic Trails RV Park offers a peaceful, family-owned retreat in the heart of rural Missouri. Situated just a short drive from the historic Route 66, this park provides a quiet countryside atmosphere that appeals to travelers looking to escape the hustle of interstate traffic. While it serves as a convenient stopover for those on long journeys, its true charm lies in its simplicity and well-maintained grounds that welcome weary road trippers with genuine hospitality and open spaces.

Location & Surroundings

The park is located in Phillipsburg, MO, tucked away in the scenic Laclede County landscape. Travelers will appreciate the easy access to Interstate 44 without the constant drone of highway noise. The surrounding area is characterized by rolling hills and dense woodlands, offering an authentic taste of the Missouri Ozarks. It is positioned perfectly for those exploring the historic landmarks of the Mother Road or visiting nearby Lebanon for essential supplies, local dining, and antique shopping.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed with modern RVers in mind, featuring spacious full hookup sites that accommodate both 30 and 50-amp connections. Many sites are wide, gravel pull-thrus, making it exceptionally easy for big rigs to navigate without stress. On-site facilities include a clean bathhouse, reliable laundry services, and a dedicated propane filling station for added convenience. Guests can also enjoy the simple pleasures of a campfire, as the park provides fire rings and picnic tables to enhance the traditional outdoor living experience.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts are perfectly situated to visit Bennett Spring State Park, one of Missouri's premier trout fishing destinations, located just a short drive from the park. For history buffs, the nearby city of Lebanon offers the Route 66 Museum and several iconic vintage diners. Additionally, the Niangua River provides seasonal opportunities for floating and canoeing, making the park an excellent basecamp for exploring the natural beauty and cultural significance of the central Missouri region.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for full-time RVers and cross-country travelers who prioritize a clean, quiet, and safe environment over high-end resort glitz. It is a fantastic choice for those traveling with pets, as the open layout and rural setting allow for comfortable walks. Because of its proximity to major fishing spots and Route 66, it is also a top pick for weekend adventurers looking for a reliable, no-frills home base while exploring the scenic Ozark corridors.

Great place with friendly staff and other guests. My three dogs had a great time walking the trails. Definitely stop here again

Clean Rv park with decent amount of space. Gravel spaces. Was not crowded at all when we camped here. There is a lake you can fish in. I hear there are rather large Catfish. Although I caught a Crappie. We got site 336 lake front view. Rd noise is loud , however if you turn on your fan , ac, or heater, you can drown it out. Easy to set up reservations online. Reasonably priced for full hookups. Friendly staff. Oh yes, weather/seasonal pool here also. Pet friendly trail around the lake.

My husband and family have stayed here for 3 months while we got acclimated in Missouri. The folks who run this place are so nice and take great care of the campground. Their rates are excellent and their hookups work very well. We have enjoyed the walking trails for our dog and playground especially for our kids. They do have a nice pool, although our kids are a bit too young, it is used all the time by others who are staying here. There is definitely constant highway noise, but you have easy pull in with your camper or rv and easy to get to everything in Lebanon which is very convenient. This campground is safe and the people are very nice, which i think the management has a lot to do with it. They dont allow nonsense and disruptive folks to stay long if theyre not willing to be civil. They keep up on the types of people that are in here to ensure everyone is happy and safe. Would highly recommend.

Perfect overnight stop on our trip. Also would be a great park to base out of if you're coming to the area. We'll definitely stay again. It was a tad difficult navigating after dark but definitely manageable.

Located right off I-44, it's convenient to get to, but there is constant traffic noise. Sites are well maintained but sloped. Utilities work well. Wifi is slow but works. Friendly folks. Decent price--especially with Passport America. Good for an overnight.

Very unassuming at first, but the sites were long, most looked to be pull through, and the full hookups were nice. The bathrooms were probably the cleanest I've seen, and we camp a lot. Bonus that they had keypads on them so not just anybody could get in. We stayed in late February/early March, so the pool wasn't an option, but looks to be a nice amenity. There wasn't a lot of signage or lighting, so it was a little difficult to find our spot, especially since we arrived after dark, but the camp host left a map for us in the after hours check-in box, so that helped. Lots of highway noise, but very convenient in terms of being close to Springfield and Lebanon, with easy access to/from I-44. Pet friendly with a pretty pond and small playground for the kiddos. All in all, we had a great stay and would stay here again.

Really nice campground for big and small RVs and campers. Very nice 70' pull through right by the pretty pond. Right by the highway- a little noise but not bad. The trees help block the traffic noise. Easy on and off - so great travel day stop. Pet friendly! Kid friendly - playground and pool. Overall, a well kept campground!

We stayed at Rustic Trails for 1 night as a stopover on a long journey home to Oklahoma. We stayed in site 342 - long, very level site (which was great because we didn't want to disconnect). It seems that the front side of the campground is for long term stays and the back is for short term. There were no trees in the back but that was fine because it was only for 1 night. There is major traffic noise from being so close to I44 but, that was to be expected. We would stay again for an overnight stay. And I have to say, the 3 dogs in the office were precious.

Very nice...called late and was very accommodating for a late check in. Only stayed one night as we were only passing through. The lady on the phone was super nice and helpful. They have very neat and clean facilities as well. I highly recommend this as a place to stay rather just passing through or there to stay a while.
