Beautiful beach with a simple but fun boardwalk. We opted for Salisbury Beach bc there was an event at Hampton and we wanted to avoid the crowd. It was the weekend after Labor Day. Everything was still open but there are no lifeguards after Labor Day. The beach has large waves and is on a slight hill. My only complaint is the event center on the beach is pretty ugly from the beach. I have eaten dinner there and it’s beautiful on the inside but the building is a sore sight for those on the beach

Absolutely my favorite beache to go to in Massachusetts. The surf is good. The water is clean and the beach is big and plentiful. There's plenty to do at the pier and tons of food spots! The arcade is so much fun and the people in there are so nice. We always have to stop at Tripoli because their pizza is the best!

Our first time visiting. Clean, lovely beach. Nice restrooms, lifeguards and soft white sand. Even an ice cream truck. Lots of kites and families. We will be back next year.

Terrific public beach, large with tons of parking. The beach is kept very clean, and at least so far this year the green-heads have been minimal. The water can be chilly but hey, it’s nearly New Hampshire so that’s expected. Services are minimal (restrooms with pit toilets) but otherwise I highly recommend this beach.

Absolutely love this beach! It has a great family-friendly atmosphere, and everyone does their part to keep it clean. There are multiple lifeguards on duty, which makes it feel very safe. There are three main parking lots—Lot 1 is great if you enjoy rocky areas and don’t mind a walk, but I highly recommend Lot 3. It's more centrally located and makes it easier to leave on busy days. Low tide is a big plus for families, creating little pools that are perfect for kids to play in. No reservations are needed, which is rare these days. Entry is just $14 for MA residents and $40 for non-residents—cheaper than many other beaches. Bonus: there's a rinse-off area that makes cleanup after the beach super easy. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

We love this place but... The prices for NH residents are steep making our visits there shorter than they should be. Why should people visiting from out of state pay 4x as much? It's not that way in coming to NH, all pay the same. The bathrooms were clean for us but, dated for sure. Showers are good may take a bit for hot water. And it's kind of a game to find the one that works best in the time you're there. The sites are sometimes clean sometimes a bit littered. I guess it gives you something to do once set up. Trash is easily disposed of at the entrance to the campground. The dumpsites are good. Access to the water and ocean front are great! Downtown Salisbury is needing refurbishment but they are at least trying. New Carousel and bathrooms! Pizza is good at either downtown place and Summer concerts are enjoyable. Also there is a great candy/ice-cream shop in downtown too. I don't go in the water much but be aware the riptide is strong and took a life when we were there back in the Summer, very sad. The campers around us have usually been very social and we as well. I do see people come back year after year. I am looking forward to return. I can only wish for cheaper prices to be for a longer visit.

Great place to visit the beach and to go camping! This is my second time camping in the summer here and I have loved it both times. Facilities are always clean, well managed grounds, quick walks to the beach and to the river. I do wish the campsites were bigger… at times I feel like other campers can look into my tent while walking by on the road. Does get nosy at times in the morning due to how close you are. Overall I highly recommend this campground and beach. Absolutely stunning views and a lot of things to do in the area!

This campground is lovely and well thought out- easy to navigate. The beach is stunning and right there- just a short bike ride, walk, or really short drive away. There is a fabulous playground. Nice sites with electric and water. 4 dump stations alleviate lines. Showers and bathrooms are spacious (although watch for the giant celing spiders). We would come back here again and again.

Salisbury Beach is a wonderful, clean, not so crowded, easy to access beach with several shops and food options. The boardwalk shops are somewhat dated, but there’s a nostalgic feeling to it. Public parking is available via pay per hour or a full day for $25. Restrooms are modern, clean, and well taken care of. The beach is super soft and sandy. No seaweed was present on the day we went but I’ve heard on occasion, seaweed is common. The water was clean and refreshing with a few seashells littered around to pick. No jellyfish on this day but about an hour after we left, it was heard that a shark was present. Lifeguards cleared the waters of swimmers for some time and then resumed with no incident. Our time spent at the beach was about 3 hours on a weekday entering the near empty parking lot at around 11am. It was a very stress free experience. Definitely worth the time.

Went camping for two days. Prices are reasonable especially if you're a Mass Resident. The bathrooms are clean, showers are free. There's a playground for the children to play on. There is an ocean side beach and a river side beach. There's a boat launch as well.
